How to Measure for Calyx Interiors Blinds

This guide provides instructions for accurately measuring your windows for both inside and outside mounting of Calyx Interiors cordless mini blinds.

How to Measure - Inside Mounted

Step 1 - Measure Width

Measure the top, middle, and bottom of your window opening. Select your narrowest measurement of these three as your window's width.

Step 2 - Measure Height

Measure the left, center, and right of your window opening. Use the tallest of these three measurements as your window's height.

Step 3 - Measure Depth

A minimum of 3½ inch depth is needed for inside mounting.

Step 4 - Choose Size

Before selecting your size to order, take your window's width measurement and subtract ½ inch or more (no more than 1 inch) to determine the width to order. This deduction will allow your shade to move easily up and down without wall interference. Example: Your window measured 30 inches wide, you would order a shade between 29 and 29-3/4 inches wide.

How to Measure - Outside Mounted

Step 1 - Measure Width

We recommend selecting a width location that adds 1 to 3 inches on each side of your window opening. Once selected, measure between these two points for your width measurement.

Step 2 - Measure Height

Select a location above your window opening for the headrail with at least 7/8 inch of flat space for mounting hardware. Then select how far below the window you want your shade to reach and measure between these two points for your height measurement.

Step 3 - Choose Size

Before selecting your size to order, choose the product size that is the same or wider than your width measurement and the same or taller for your height measurement.
