In 2014, Volvo Cars' extensive dealer network, comprising approximately 2,300 locations worldwide, sold 465,866 vehicles across 100 countries. By December 2014, the group employed around 24,000 people. The company's founding principle was to create cars that were strong and safe enough for Swedish roads.
