Previous song/rewind key: Short press to switch to previous song/recording; and long press to rewind. Next song/fast forward key: Short press to switch to next song/recording; long press to fast forward. Volume + key: Press this key to increase the volume. Volume - Key: Press this key to decrease the volume. Display screen Play/Pause key: (1) Press this key in standby to play/pause music/recording. 6 (2) When the power switch is on, long press this key to turn on/off the device. Record/Save key: Long press for 2s to start recording, and then long press again for 2s to save the recording. Headphone port: Plug in the headphones to listen to the contents of the device. Power key: Toggle up to turn on, down to turn off. M key: Short press to return, and long press the specified position to bring up the secondary menu or delete a file. NOTE: This feature does not work when the player is connected to a PC or getting charged. 7 1.3 Chagring Use the included data cable 1.3.1 Please use the supplied USB cable to connect this product to a powered computer (be sure to use the supplied cable). When connected to a computer, it will automatically enter the charging mode. The removable disk icon will be displayed in the lower right corner of the computer, and the recorder screen will be displayed as below (Figure 1). 1.3.2 Upon connecting the recorder to a computer, a window will appear requesting you to choose between "Charge & Transfer" or "Charge & Play" (Figure 2). The audio or music stored in the recorder's folder can be edited on the computer. 1.3.3 This product can be charged using a 5V charger in addition to a personal computer. The charging scale at the top right of the screen increases when the recorder is on. Only the battery icon is displayed when the recorder is turned off (Figure 3) 8 Figure 1 Figure 2 Figure 3 1.3.4 Once charging is finished, the battery icon will display ( ). Now you may disconnect this product from the computer or data cable. 1.3.5 NOTE: Upon entering this mode, the computer can identify the selected device (with a capacity of 58.56 GB) for the purpose of data transfer and file editing. This product is compatible with Windows systems (win7, win8, win8.1, win10, and win11) and Mac OS. 9 1.3.6 Connect USB adapter to use / charge You can also use a USB adapter to plug it into a home power outlet to charge. It can be used while charging one battery at a time, making it convenient for long duration recording. For the first use or for long periods of non-use, ensure that the battery is completely charged ( ). Battery charging time is approximately 2 hours. Connect USB Adapter One to a readily accessible power outlet. In the event of an abnormality, remove it immediately from the outlet. 1.3.7 Turn on/off the power Slide the switch in the direction of "ON" until the screen id displayed. To turn off the device, slide the switch in the direction of "OFF". 1.4 Main Interface Select the features you want to use in the Home menu The voice recorder's home menu provides access to all functions. From here, you can select features, search for recorded files, and adjust settings. 10 Main Screen (Home Menu) The main screen will appear when the recorder is turned on. Press the "PREV" or "NEXT" key to select the function you want to use, press the "Play/Pause" key to enter. Details about music files and playlist updates are visible. Music You can select and play the file that you recorded using the voice recorder. You can adjust different recording Recorder settings. You can modify the Bluetooth connection and its Bluetooth related settings. You can playback and delete audio recordings and Folder music files. The voice recorder offers various settings that can be Settings adjusted. 11 2.Settings (Perform the following operations using the keys labeled "PREV", "NEXT", "Play/Pause", "Volume" and "M") 2.1 Language Select the "Settings" icon and briefly press the "Play/Pause" key to enter, To enter the main interface of the recorder, use the "Prev" and "Next" keys to select "Settings" and press the "Play/Pause" key. Then, select "Language" and choose your preferred language, as shown below. Language: English(Chinese)FrançaisFrench DeutschGermanItalianoItalianEspañolSpanish 12 2.2 Date & Time Set date: After entering, use the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys to set the number, use the "Volume" keys to switch the year, month and day, and press the "Play/Pause" key to confirm and save the settings when completed. Press 'Play/Pause' key to confirm and save the settings. Press 'M' key to return directly without saving the settings. As shown below. Set time: After entering, use the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys to set the number, use the "Volume" keys to switch minutes and seconds, press the "Play/Pause" key to confirm and save the settings when completed. Press 'Play/Pause' key to confirm and save the settings. 13 Press 'M' key to return directly without saving the settings. As shown below. NOTE: pressing the "M" key without saving the settings by pressing the "Play&Pause" key will not save the settings, and you will return to the previous level. To save the date or time after setting, please press "Play&Pause". 2.3 Brightness Adjust screen brightness by selecting 10-100% levels, using the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys. Each level adjusts the brightness by 10%. Brightness changes in real-time while adjusting. Press 'Play/Pause' key to confirm and save the settings. Press 'M' key to return directly without saving the settings. As shown below. 14 2.4 Bcaklight Timer The following settings are displayed: 'Screen Always On,' 'Set Backlight Timer,' 'Screen Saver,' and 'Screen Saver Time'. Screen Always On: Enabling this feature will prevent the screen from turning off and override the set screen timeout duration. Set Bcaklight Time: Configure the device to automatically turn off the screen when there is no user interaction within a certain period. Select the desired time range between 10 and 100 seconds in increments of 10 by pressing the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys. Press the "Play/Pause" key to confirm and save the settings. Press the "M" key to return without saving the settings. As illustrated in the image below. Screen Saver: Enable this feature to display a screensaver when there is no user activity during a specific period. The screensaver will display the time and date, as illustrated in the image below. 15 Screen Saver Time: Set the device to display screen saver if no operation within certain period; press the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys to set the range from 10-100s by 10s; press the "Play/Pause" key to confirm and save the settings; press the "M" key to return directly without saving the settings. As illustrated in the image below. NOTE: Do not set the screensaver time longer than the screen time, as the screen saver will not be visible when the screen is off. 2.5 Idle Shutdown Including "ldle Shutdown" and "Set the Idle Shutdown Time" Idle shutdown is a function that automatically powers off the device after a set period of inactivity, provided it is enabled. Disabling this function prevents the device from shutting down automatically. Set the Idle Shutdown Time: Set the period duration from 1 to 60 minutes in one-minute intervals using the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys; confirm and save the settings by pressing the "Play/Pause" key; return directly without saving the settings by pressing the "M" key. As illustrated in the image below. 16 2.6 Information Displays device information including "Version", "Total Capacity", "Available Capacity". As illustrated in the image below. 2.7 Factory Settings After entering, the screen will display a prompt asking if you want to "Restore factory settings?" with options for "Yes" or "No". Choose "Yes" to automatically reboot the machine. Then, use the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys to select the language and press the "Play/Pause" key to confirm before accessing the home page. As illustrated in the image below. 17 2.8 Update Playlist To update the playlist when adding new music to the device, use this if there is no existing music in the playlist. As illustrated in the image below. 2.9 Power-on Password The display shows "Power-on Password" and "Change Password". Power-on Password: When the password is on, to access the Home page, you need to enter a password when booting your device. Enter the correct password and press the "Play/Pause" key to confirm it. To access the Home page, enter the correct password when booting your device and press the "Play/Pause" key to confirm it. As illustrated in the image below. 18 Change Password: the password is a total of 4 digits; use the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys to select the number; press the "Play/Pause" key to enter the number; when 4 digits are entered, then press the "Play/Pause" key to confirm and save. As illustrated in the image below. NOTE: Remember the password you set. If you forget your password, you can use the super password "9999" to access playback directly. Refer to the Home page for further instructions. 3. Music To select the function you want to set, press the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys and confirm by pressing the " Play/Pause" key. Repeat this process for each setting. Press the "M" key to go back to the previous screen. 19 3.1 Music Files Music files from your computer can be copied and played on your voice recorder. The procedure is as follows: Enter the music menu and you will see the music list. The music list presents five categories: "All Songs", "Last Played (in progress)", "Artist", "Album", and "Favorites". Select your preferred category and play your desired music. 3.2 All songs: After selection, go to the song list, use the "Previous" or "Next Song" key in the list to select the song you want to play; press the "Play/Pause" key to play. 3.3 Last played (in progress) 3.4 Artist: Classify songs by singer and play only the songs of the selected artists. 3.5 Album: Classify songs by album and plays only the songs of the selected album. 3.6 Favorites: Songs that have been added to Favorites. 20 Music playback interface and description: Use the "Play/Pause" key to play or pause music. Use the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys to switch songs; long press the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys to fast-forward or rewind. And use the "VOL+" and "VOL-" keys to adjust volume. Short press the "M" key to return to the previous interface or the main interface. 3.7 How to use the functions after entering the music detail page. When playing music, long press the "M" key to enter the functions page. Press the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys to select and confirm by pressing the "Play/Pause" key. Repeat this process for each setting. Press the "M" key to go back to the previous screen. Functions include: "Back to the Main Page", "Variable Speed Playback", "Repeat Playback", "Bookmark", "Add to Playlist" and 21 "Equalizer". As illustrated in the image below. Variable speed playback: The variable speed on the device allows for a maximum 9x playback speed and a minimum -9x playback speed. As illustrated in the image below. Repeat Playback (Loop Mode): Include "Loop All", "Shuffle" and "Loop Single". As illustrated in the image below. 22 Bookmark: To start playing music from a specific point, press on "Bookmark", set the desired point in time, and then select the play key at the desired point. As illustrated in the image below. Add to Playlist (Favorites): You can add the currently playing music to your list of favorites. After successful addition, the playback page will display a favorite icon . As illustrated in the image below. To remove a song from your favorites list, press on "Remove from Playlist". As illustrated in the image below. 23 Equalizer: The equalizer has "Normal", "Pop", "Rock", "Jazz", "Classical", "Dance" and "Country" modes, you can choose you prefer mode. As illustrated in the image below. 3.8 How to use "A-B Repeat" when playing music Setting A-B Repeat: During music playback page, press the " Record/Save" key to set point A and the repeat mark changes from white AB to blue AB on the lower left corner of the LCD screen. Then, press the same key again to set point B and the repeat mark changes from blue AB to green AB on the lower left corner of the LCD screen. Thus, the A-B repeat point is now set. The song will play repeatedly within this A-B repeat range. 4. Recorder 4.1 How to record: To start recording, press and hold the "Record/Save" key for 2 seconds. (2) Recording Bit-rate: You can select a bit rate of either 512kbps, 1536kbps, or 3072kbps. The bit-rate for recording is displayed at the top of the screen during recording. Improved: Higher bit-rate lead to better sound quality. 27 (3) Recording Scene: Choose one of the following scenes to record: "Closure", "Interview", "Meeting", "Station", or "Teaching". (4) Recording Segment: Options include "Off", "30 minutes", "60 minutes", and "120 minutes". When recording for extended periods, the system saves the recording to a file and automatically starts a new one when the specified time limit is reached. If "Off" is selected, a recording file will still be saved, and a new one will be automatically generated to continue recording when the file reaches 2 hours of recording. (5) Noise Control Switch: Enabling this function reduces noise during recording. When the noise reduction function is activated, the noise reduction icon will display on the recording screen. 28 (6) Voice-activated Recording: When enabled, the recording indicator is displayed on the screen. When disabled, the recording indicator is not displayed on the screen. When voice recording is enabled and a recording is initiated, the device detects the audio signal before starting the recording. If voice recording is disabled, the device will not record audio. (7) Recording Monitor: When the monitoring is turned on, plug in the headphones to hear the recording content in real time. 29 (8) Timing Recording: To record, set the start and end time and the recorder will automatically capture audio within that timeframe. Select "Timed recording" to set "ON/OFF", "Start Time", "Finish Time", "Timing Cycle". When enter the page, you will see the follow screen. Start Time: To set the recording start time, use the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys to adjust the number. Use the "Volume" keys to switch between the hour and minute fields. Press the "Play/Pause" key to confirm and save the settings. Press the "M" key to return to the settings without saving changes. NOTE: the set time refers to the real-time displayed by the recorder. Finish Time: To set the recording finish time, use the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys to adjust the number. Use the "Volume" keys to switch 30 between the hour and minute fields. Press the "Play/Pause" key to confirm and save the settings. Press the "M" key to return to the settings without saving changes. Timing Cycle: You can select how often the timed recording occurs, including options such as "Once", "Daily", and "Working Day". 4.2 How to use "A-B Repeat" when playing a record Setting A-B Repeat: During record playback page, press the " Record/Save" key to set point A and the repeat mark changes from white AB to blue AB on the lower left corner of the LCD screen. Then, press the same key again to set point B and the repeat mark changes from blue AB to green AB on the lower left corner of the LCD screen. Thus, the A-B repeat point is now set. The audio will play repeatedly within this A-B repeat range. 31 5. Bluetooth This product has Bluetooth function, which can connect with cell phone and Bluetooth headsets. Bluetooth function has phone mode and music mode. Phone Mode: Connect with your smartphone (Android & Iphone) to automatically record all calls and output the call audio through this product. Music Mode: Connect with Bluetooth headphones to enjoy recordings and music files through the headphones. NOTE: Only one Bluetooth mode can be used at the same time. List of Bluetooth menu options 1. To select a function and confirm the selection in each setting, press the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys, followed by the "Play/Pause" key. 3. To return to the previous screen, press the "M" key. You can press the " Record/Save" key to restart the recording. Ending the call: You can end the call by pressing the " Play/Pause" key. 6. Folder Selecting "Folder" from the home menu (main screen) enables you to play or delete files. To play selected audio or music files: The following steps should be taken: Still using the "PREV" and "NEXT" keys to select the file of interest and press the "Play/Pause" key to confirm selection. To listen to a specific recording file, navigate to "Folder" in the Home Menu (Main Screen) and select the desired file under the "Record". To adjust the volume, press the "VOL+/-" keys. To stop playback, press the "Play/Pause" key. 35 6.1 How to delete music or record To delete a file, go to the "Folder" and select the audio file using the "PREV" or "NEXT" keys. Press and hold the "M" key for 2 seconds and the device will prompt a window to appear, asking "Delete Files?" . Select "Yes" to delete the file, or select "No" to keep it. You can select music or audio to play in the "Folder" section, and its playback page is identical to that in the "Music" and "Record" sections. 6.2 How to rename a folder or file Avoid renaming the "Record" since this increases the likelihood that the original saved data may not be found on either the host or local computer. The recorder cannot rename folders directly. To rename a folder, connect it to a computer to perform this task. Organize files in folders (file moving/file copying) Do not move or copy the "Record" folder itself, as there is a high probability that the original saved data will not be found on either the recorder or the computer. If you need to move or copy files, you must connect the recorder to a computer. The recorder itself cannot move or copy files. If you move a file, it will disappear from the original folder. When copied, the file will be copied with the same file order. 36 7. When in troubles Please check the item again before requesting repair. 7.1 Noise Too much noise makes it difficult to hear recorded audio. Ambient noise other than voices may be recorded at the time of recording. To reduce noise during recording 1. Adjust the recording position before recording. 2. Adjust the microphone position. 7.2 Recording Noise Noise may occur if your hand touches the recorder or if the recorder rubs against your clothing during recording. Try not to touch the recorder until the recording is finished. 7.3 A "harsh" Sound Appears in the Audio If the recorder is placed near electric wires, fluorescent lights, mobile phones, etc. during recording or playback, a "shrill" sound may be heard. 7.4 Recording Stops Abruptly. VOR (Voice Activated Recording) is in progress. When VOR is not in use, set "Recording" to "OFF". Check the battery level. 37 Check the memory. 7.5 Charging There may be reasons why charging is not possible. 7.5.1 When using a cable other than the supplied USB cable, etc., it may not be possible to connect to a computer for charging. Use the supplied USB cable. 7.5.2 Charging is not possible even when connected to a computer that is not turned on. In addition, even if the computer is turned on, charging is not possible when the computer is in standby mode, so disconnect the recorder from the computer and reconnect it. 7.5.3 The USB cable is not connected correctly. 7.5.4 The built-in rechargeable battery is in an inactive state. If the battery is not used for a long time, the "deactivation" phenomenon may occur. This phenomenon may return after repeated charging and discharging. 7.6 Repeat The repeat volume is low. The built-in speakers are used to confirm the recording results, so the sound may be low or difficult to hear. In this case, use the supplied headphones for playback. Recording volume may be low.
