Warnings for Use
Risk of Burns!
- Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
- Always ensure the lid is firmly closed.
- The appliance housing becomes hot during operation; do not touch it and allow it to cool down before storing.
Overload!
- If using extension cables, ensure they have a cross-section of at least 1.5 mm².
- Do not use a multi-socket outlet as this appliance is powerful.
Important Usage Notes:
- Always switch off the appliance before removing it from the base. The base contacts are not designed for power disconnection.
- Ensure the appliance is switched off when placing it back on the base.
Notes for Use
Mains Cable
Unwind the mains cable completely from the base. Ensure proper cable routing.
Connected Load
The appliance has a maximum power consumption of 2200 W. A separate supply line with a 16 A household circuit breaker is recommended.
Electrical Connection
- Verify that your mains voltage matches the appliance's voltage (indicated on the type plate).
- Connect only to a properly installed protective contact socket.
Switching the Appliance On / Off
- Switch on (I): Move the switch to position 'I'. The control lamp will illuminate.
- Switching off (O): Move the switch to position 'O'. The control lamp will extinguish.
Water Tank Lighting
The water tank lighting indicates the water temperature:
- Green: 0–50 °C
- Light Blue: 50–70 °C
- Dark Blue: 70–80 °C
- Purple: 80–90 °C
- Red: 100 °C
Preparation
Before first use, boil the appliance with fresh water three times. Use only clean water without additives.
Operation
- Place the appliance on a flat surface.
- Close the lid securely; it should audibly click into place.
- Fill with fresh, cold water through the filler opening (max. 1.7 liters). Check the water level using the indicator. Ensure the water level is between the MIN and MAX marks. The lid does not need to be removed for filling; the self-closing opening facilitates this.
- Close the lid firmly by pressing the contact area.
- Place the kettle flush on the base.
- Switch on the appliance using the switch; the control lamp will light up.
Interrupting / Ending Operation
The cooking process can be interrupted or ended in two ways:
- The appliance automatically switches off after boiling, and the control lamp goes out.
- To stop the cycle early, set the switch to position 'O'.
Remember to always switch off the appliance before removing it from the base and ensure it is off when placing it back.
- Unplug the mains plug from the socket.
- Empty the water container.
- Handle the appliance only by the handle.
- Keep the lid closed when pouring.
- Open and close the lid using the lid handle only.
- Allow the appliance to cool down before storing.
Cleaning
WARNING:
- Always switch off the appliance and unplug it before cleaning. Wait for it to cool down.
- Do not immerse the appliance or base in water or other liquids to prevent electric shock or fire.
CAUTION:
- Do not use wire brushes or abrasive cleaning agents.
Clean the perforated spout area from the inside with a nylon brush. Rinse the water reservoir with clean water and dry it. Clean the lid and housing with a slightly damp cloth after use.
Descaling
The frequency of descaling depends on water hardness and usage. If the appliance switches off before boiling, descaling is necessary.
- Use a commercially available descaler based on citric acid; do not use vinegar. Follow the product's dosage instructions.
- After descaling, boil fresh water 3-4 times to remove any residue. Do not consume this water.
Storage
Clean the appliance and allow it to dry completely. Store in the original packaging if not in use for extended periods. Keep out of reach of children in a well-ventilated, dry place.

The mains cable can be wound up at the bottom of the base.
Troubleshooting
