Cleaning the Satellite (Daily)
Required cleaners:
- Mild solution of dish-washing detergent and warm water
- TABZ™ Z95 Coffee Equipment Cleaner Tablets (Curtis PN WC-79000)
- One-Pro Beverage Equipment Cleaner
WARNING: Do not immerse the satellite in water or any other liquid. Do not place in a dishwasher, as this voids the warranty. Avoid harsh powders, chlorine, wire brushes, or scouring pads. Do not use a brush on the faucet or inside the faucet shank.
Cleaning the Liner
- Remove the satellite from the brewer and take off the lid. Rinse the liner.
- Prepare a mild detergent and warm water solution. Wipe exterior surfaces with a moistened sponge. Fill the liner with the detergent solution and scrub the stainless steel liner with a sponge brush.
- Rinse with clean, warm water.
- Sanitize: Drop one TABZ Z95 tablet into the liner. Fill with hot water (min. 122°F/50°C). Stir and let soak for 5-10 minutes.
- Open the faucet and drain the sanitizer to clean the faucet shank.
- Fill the liner with clean, warm water and drain through the faucet to rinse the shank.
- Fill the liner with water a second time and drain through the faucet.
- Disassemble the faucet: Unscrew the handle/bonnet assembly. Inspect the seat cup for wear and replace if damaged.
- Disassemble the sight gauge (if applicable): Remove the cap, unscrew the guard, and remove the glass tube. Inspect for cracks/chips and replace if broken.
- Air Dry: Turn the satellite upside down to air dry.
Cleaning the Faucet Parts and Site Gauge
- Wash the lid, faucet, and gauge glass parts with the detergent solution. Clean the inside of the gauge glass with a gauge brush and detergent solution.
- Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean, warm water.
- Sanitize: Immerse the lid, faucet, and gauge glass parts in a sink with One-Pro cleaner mixed at a ratio of 1 oz. (28 g) per 5 gal. (19 L) of hot water (min. 122°F/50°C). Soak for 15 minutes.
- Air Dry: Allow all parts to air dry.
- Reassemble: Hand-tighten the handle/bonnet onto the faucet assembly. Reinstall the site gauge. If replacing gauge glass, carefully remove any glass traces from silicone parts before inserting the new glass tube. Reinstall the lid.
