Product Overview
Introducing the DJI Osmo Pocket 3
The Osmo Pocket 3 features DJI's advanced 3-axis mechanical gimbal stabilization technology, enabling stable shooting in various scenarios. It is equipped with a 1-inch image sensor for clear image quality even in high-contrast lighting. The 10-bit D-Log M color mode enhances dynamic range and provides greater flexibility for color grading.
The Osmo Pocket 3 boasts a unique rotatable touchscreen. Simply rotate the screen to start shooting. The screen allows you to preview footage, adjust camera settings, and easily switch between horizontal and vertical shooting modes. The device has three built-in microphones for stereo recording with intelligent wind noise reduction, and supports external microphones or headphones.
The Osmo Pocket 3 is compatible with a range of accessories, such as the Osmo Pocket 3 1/4" Screw Mount Handle, Osmo Pocket 3 Battery Handle, Osmo Mini Tripod, and Osmo Pocket 3 Wide-Angle Lens, enhancing the shooting experience in various situations.

Accessories
Osmo Pocket 3 1/4" Screw Mount Handle
The 1/4" Screw Mount Handle enhances grip during shooting. It attaches directly to the USB-C port at the bottom of the camera without needing to press a release button. The USB-C port on the handle supports charging and connecting external audio devices, including digital wired headphones and microphones, or wireless microphone receivers.

Note: Prolonged high-specification recording may cause the device to heat up. Avoid touching the indicated areas while holding to prevent burns.
To detach, press the release button and pull downwards.
Osmo Pocket 3 Battery Handle
The Battery Handle contains a 950mAh battery, extending the camera's battery life when connected. Attach it by inserting it into the USB-C port at the bottom of the camera, ensuring the side locks fully engage with the camera's base slots. The battery level can be viewed on the camera screen. The USB-C port on the handle also supports charging and connecting external audio devices.

To detach, press the release button and pull downwards. You can then check the battery level by pressing the release button.
Status Indicator Lights
The indicator lights provide information about the camera's status. You can adjust the indicator light settings in the camera's system settings.

Yellow flashing | The battery handle is in a high or low temperature environment and cannot be used temporarily. It can be used again after the temperature returns to normal. |
Battery Handle Precautions:
- Firmware updates for the battery handle are performed via the camera. If a new firmware version is available, connect the battery handle to the camera, and it will update automatically. A prompt will appear on the camera screen upon completion. Do not remove the battery handle before the update is finished.
- Ensure the battery handle has power when using external audio devices.
- Handle the battery handle with care, avoiding mechanical impact, crushing, or dropping.
- It is recommended to use a DJI 65W Portable Charger or a DJI 30W USB-C Charger (sold separately) to charge the battery handle.
- If the USB-C port is dirty, clean it with an air blower or a soft brush, working from the inside out.
- The battery handle is not waterproof. Avoid liquid ingress and do not use it underwater.
- If not used for over 10 days, store the battery handle with 50% battery charge to prolong its lifespan.
Accessories (Optional)
Osmo Pocket 3 Wide-Angle Lens
The Wide-Angle Lens attaches magnetically and increases the camera's Field of View (FOV) to 108°, equivalent to a 15mm focal length, for a broader perspective. When the lens is attached, the camera will rotate to face the screen when powered off, allowing for storage in the Osmo Pocket 3 protective case. The case also has a dedicated slot for the lens. Keep the lens and camera lens clean to prevent scratches or poor attachment.

Osmo Pocket 3 Magnetic ND Filter Kit
This kit includes ND16, ND64, and ND256 filters for reducing light. They attach magnetically to the Osmo Pocket 3's lens.

Osmo Pocket 3 Expansion Mount
The Expansion Mount features a cold shoe mount and an action camera mount, allowing for the connection of various accessories.

Getting Started
Install microSD Card
The Osmo Pocket 3 has no internal storage and requires a microSD card for recording footage. It is recommended to use a microSD card with a UHS-I Speed Grade 3 rating (sold separately). Refer to the "Specifications" section for recommended microSD card models.
Insert the microSD card into the slot as shown. To eject, gently push the microSD card into the camera to make it pop out slightly.

After shooting, you can export footage to a computer or quickly transfer it to your phone via the DJI Mimo App. Refer to the "Transfer Media Files" section for more details.
Powering On
Rotate the camera's touchscreen clockwise or briefly press the Record Button to power on the camera. If the "Screen-to-Record" feature is enabled, rotating the screen will start recording immediately with the settings configured for that feature. If no operation is performed for 2 seconds after recording stops, the camera will automatically power off. Long press the Record Button for 1 second or rotate the touchscreen counter-clockwise to power off the Osmo Pocket 3.

Screen-Off Recording Setting: You can configure the camera to turn off the screen after a set time when rotating the screen. Options include: Immediately, 2 seconds, or Never.
Activation
The camera requires activation via the DJI Mimo App. Follow these steps:
- Briefly press the Record Button or rotate the screen to power on the camera.
- Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your smartphone.
- Launch the DJI Mimo App, tap the camera icon on the home screen to connect to the camera, and follow the on-screen prompts.

Firmware Update: If the DJI Mimo App prompts for a firmware update on the home screen, follow the on-screen instructions to update. Ensure the camera's battery level is above 15% before updating for a better shooting experience.
Charging
Use the included Type-C to Type-C PD fast charging cable to connect the USB-C port at the bottom of the camera to a USB-C charger (sold separately). It is recommended to use a DJI 65W Portable Charger, DJI 30W USB-C Charger, or any USB-C charger supporting PD fast charging. When the camera is powered off, the current battery level can be viewed on the screen. The camera can charge to 80% in approximately 16 minutes and fully charge in about 32 minutes (when using a DJI 65W PD charger).*

When the camera is connected to the Screw Mount Handle or Battery Handle, it can be charged via the USB-C port on the handle. If charging while connected to the Battery Handle, the camera will charge first, followed by the Battery Handle.

Touchscreen Operations
When the camera is powered on, the touchscreen displays the shooting interface, including shooting mode, battery level, and storage capacity. You can perform functions by tapping or sliding the screen.

- Tap: Tap icons to access Intelligent Gimbal Modes, Gimbal Flip, etc. Tap the viewfinder to focus and meter.
- Double-tap: Double-tap the viewfinder to select a subject for Intelligent Follow.
- Swipe from top edge: Access the Control Center.
- Swipe from bottom edge: Access shooting parameter settings.
- Swipe from left edge: Access the playback page.
- Swipe from right edge: Access image and audio settings pages.
Camera Interface
The camera interface may vary depending on the shooting mode. The following describes the main elements:

- 12. Virtual Joystick: Control the gimbal's pan and tilt movements.
- 13. Zoom: Pinch to zoom in or out.
- 14. Settings: Access shooting parameter settings (Simple and PRO modes). PRO mode offers advanced settings like perspective, exposure, and white balance.
- 15. Beauty: Tap to access beauty effect settings, allowing you to enable or disable them and adjust parameters.
- 16. Shooting Specs: Tap to set resolution, frame rate, and other shooting specifications.
- 17. Shooting Parameters: In PRO mode, tap to adjust parameters like EV, shutter speed, and ISO.
Using the Product
Shooting Modes
Tap the icon to select different shooting modes.

Shooting Mode | Description |

Panorama | Captures a wider field of view than standard photos by stitching multiple images. Supports 180° and 3x3 panorama modes. The 180° mode captures four photos horizontally, while the 3x3 mode captures nine photos from different directions. |
Photo | Single shot or timed shooting. |
Video | Standard video recording. |
Low-Light Video | Optimizes exposure settings for higher quality footage in low-light conditions. |
Slow Motion | Records at high frame rates (4x or 8x) to create slow-motion playback at 1/4 or 1/8 speed. Audio is recorded separately. |
Timelapse | Captures frames at set intervals to create time-lapse videos. Includes Motionlapse (for moving subjects), Static Timelapse (for stationary scenes), and Trajectory Timelapse (for predefined movement paths). Users can customize intervals and duration. |
Gimbal Modes
Swipe down from the top edge to access the Control Center and select a gimbal mode.

- Default Stabilization: The default mode, suitable for most scenes like vlogging and selfies. The roll axis remains horizontal, while the tilt and pan axes follow the handle's movement.
- Pan Lock: The tilt axis is locked, the roll axis remains horizontal, and the pan axis follows the handle's movement. Ideal for switching between high and low camera angles.
- FPV: The camera's orientation fully follows the handle's rotation, allowing for dynamic, immersive shots. The horizon is not maintained level.
Intelligent Follow
When in Photo or Video mode, double-tap a subject on the screen to initiate tracking. The gimbal will follow the selected target. Press the joystick or tap the screen to stop following.
If Selfie Follow is enabled in system settings, the camera will automatically detect and follow faces for optimal selfie angles.

Intelligent Follow is not supported in the following modes: Panorama, Low-Light Video, Slow Motion (1080P8X/4K4X), Static Timelapse, Trajectory Timelapse, and when Rotate Cache is enabled.
Intelligent Gimbal Functions
In Video mode, tap the icon to access Intelligent Gimbal Functions. There are three modes:

- Subject Follow Mode: Automatically tracks the person closest to the center of the frame once recording starts.
- Framing Follow Mode: Allows you to select a framing composition (e.g., Golden Spiral, Rule of Thirds) using the joystick. Once the subject enters the selected frame, press the joystick to start intelligent following, keeping the subject within the composition.
Rotate Cache Mode
This mode allows the camera to automatically rotate 90° or 180° during recording for dynamic shots. You can initiate the rotation by pressing the joystick or tapping the screen icon.

Transfer Media Files
Transfer to Phone: Connect the Osmo Pocket 3 to your phone via the DJI Mimo App. Tap the playback icon to view photos and videos, and tap the download icon to transfer them to your phone. You can then edit and share your footage using the Mimo App.
Transfer to Computer: Connect the Osmo Pocket 3 to your computer using a USB-C cable. Once connected, select "File Transfer/OTG" on the camera's touchscreen. You can then download files to your computer. The camera cannot be used for shooting while connected for file transfer.

OTG Wired Connection
For Android devices that support OTG, you can transfer footage using a wired OTG connection. Use the included Type-C to Type-C PD fast charging cable to connect the Osmo Pocket 3 to your Android device. You can then access and export footage through your device's gallery or file manager.
If your device does not automatically recognize the OTG connection, swipe down from the top of the camera's home screen, go to System Settings > OTG Wired Connection, and reconnect using the Type-C to Type-C PD cable.
Webcam Mode
The Osmo Pocket 3 can be used as a webcam. Connect the camera to your computer and select Webcam mode. The camera will function as a webcam input device for your computer. The bottom of the camera's screen will indicate "Webcam Mode." You can press the Record Button to start recording. Swipe from the right edge of the screen to adjust shooting parameters such as exposure, white balance, and focus mode. After exiting Webcam Mode, you can view recorded videos.
Microphone Expansion
Connecting DJI Mic 2
The Osmo Pocket 3's USB-C port supports external microphones, including DJI Mic and DJI Mic 2 wireless microphones, as well as other USB-C microphones supporting 48K/16bits digital audio.
DJI Mic 2 Transmitter Overview

- 1. Recording Status Indicator: Indicates the transmitter's recording status.
- 2. USB-C Port: For file transfer, charging, and firmware updates.
- 3. Record Button: Short press to start/stop independent recording.
- 4. 3.5mm TRS Input: For connecting external microphones. Do not use microphones requiring 24V or 48V phantom power.
- 5. System Status Indicator: Indicates the transmitter's system status.
- 6. Pairing Button: Press and hold for 2 seconds to initiate Bluetooth pairing. Once paired with the camera, pressing this button can control recording.
- 7. Power Button: Press and hold for 2 seconds to power on/off. Press briefly to enable/disable noise reduction.

DJI Mic 2 Transmitter Connection Steps
Follow these steps to connect the DJI Mic 2 transmitter (referred to as "transmitter"):
- From the camera's home screen, swipe down, tap the Settings icon, select "Wireless Mic > TX1/TX2," and the camera will enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Press and hold the transmitter's power button for two seconds to turn it on.
- Ensure the transmitter is in Bluetooth pairing mode. If the transmitter's system indicator is green, press and hold the transmitter's Record Button for three seconds to enter pairing mode. The transmitter's system indicator will flash blue slowly.
- Press and hold the transmitter's pairing button for two seconds. The transmitter will start searching for nearby Bluetooth devices, and its system indicator will flash blue quickly.
- Once the transmitter and camera are successfully paired via Bluetooth, the transmitter's system indicator will be solid blue. The camera screen will display "Connected." Pressing the transmitter's pairing button will then control recording. Pressing it again will stop recording.
Pre-paired: For the All-Inclusive Kit, the Osmo Pocket 3 and DJI Mic 2 transmitter are pre-paired out of the box. They will connect automatically when powered on.
Multiple Transmitters: The Osmo Pocket 3 supports simultaneous connection with up to two DJI Mic 2 transmitters.

DJI Mimo App
The DJI Mimo App allows you to view a high-definition live feed from the Osmo Pocket 3 on your mobile device, adjust camera settings, and control the camera. The app also offers features like footage export, editing, and Wi-Fi live streaming, enhancing your shooting experience.

Connecting DJI Mimo App
- Power on the Osmo Pocket 3.
- Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your smartphone.
- Launch the DJI Mimo App, tap the camera icon on the home screen to connect to the camera, and follow the on-screen prompts.
Note: If the camera is already connected to a DJI Mic 2 transmitter on the 2.4GHz band, it may not be able to connect to the Mimo App. In this case, change the camera's Wi-Fi band to 5.8GHz or disconnect from the DJI Mic 2 transmitter to reconnect to the Mimo App.
If the camera cannot connect to DJI Mimo App, try the following:
- Ensure your phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled.
- Ensure you are using the latest version of the DJI Mimo App.
- Swipe down from the camera's home screen, tap the Settings icon, select "Wireless Connection > Reset Connection." This will reset all camera connections and Wi-Fi passwords.

After launching the DJI Mimo App, you will see the home screen.

- Device: Connect to your Osmo Pocket 3. After successful connection, it will automatically navigate to the camera interface.
- Academy: Access tutorial videos, manuals, and more.
- Quick Edit: Offers various editing templates to quickly edit your footage.
- Home: Tap to return to the App's home screen.
- Album: Manage footage stored on your phone and the DJI device.
- Edit: Import and edit your footage.
- My: View your DJI account information and a list of your works. Tap the settings icon to access related settings.
Camera Interface
The camera interface displays vary depending on the shooting mode. The following describes the main elements:

Maintenance and Care
Firmware Update
Update the Osmo Pocket 3's firmware using the DJI Mimo App. Before updating, ensure the camera's battery level is above 15%. After connecting the camera to DJI Mimo, if the app prompts for a firmware update, tap to proceed and follow the on-screen instructions. The firmware update process takes approximately 2 minutes.
Storage
Storing in the Osmo Pocket 3 Protective Case
Place the camera screen-down in the protective case when it is powered off. You do not need to remove the Screw Mount Handle. The case includes compartments for accessories like the Beauty Light (A), Wide-Angle Lens (B), and DJI Mic 2 transmitter (C).

Caution: Improper storage may damage the gimbal, camera body, or screen.

Place the Osmo Pocket 3 in the carrying case when it is powered off. The case has multiple compartments to store all accessories from the Osmo Pocket 3 All-Inclusive Kit.

Precautions
- The Osmo Pocket 3 gimbal camera is a high-precision control device. Avoid dropping, impact, or external pressure, and protect it from dust and sand. Failure to do so may damage the camera and cause malfunctions.
- Ensure the gimbal's movement is not obstructed by external forces when the camera is powered on.
- Do not manually adjust the gimbal axis locks frequently during use, as this may cause the lock function to fail.
- The Osmo Pocket 3 is not waterproof. Avoid contact with any liquids and do not use any cleaning liquids on it. It is recommended to clean the camera with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not cover the gimbal or the heat dissipation area on the top of the camera during use to avoid burns. The camera may automatically stop shooting if it overheats.
- Avoid using the product in environments with strong vibrations (e.g., on a motorcycle or bicycle) to prevent damage to the gimbal and autofocus module.
- Minor friction between the screen frame and the camera body during touchscreen rotation is normal and does not affect usage.
- Do not expose the camera lens to laser environments (e.g., laser shows) to prevent damage to the camera sensor.
