Installation Steps

Always use new batteries of the same type. If the remote malfunctions, remove and reinsert batteries after 30 seconds. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for a long time.

How to Use the Remote Control

Point the remote towards the unit's receiver window. A beep confirms signal reception. Ensure no objects block the receiver window. The remote operates up to 20 feet (6 meters). Avoid direct sunlight on the receiver window. Fluorescent lamps or other electronic devices may interfere with the signal. Do not expose the remote to direct sunlight, heat, moisture, or shock.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning the Filter

  1. Open the front panel and remove the filter.
  2. Clean the filter using a vacuum cleaner or wash with clean water. If very dirty, use detergent and rinse. Dry with a soft cloth. Do not expose to heat or direct sunlight.
  3. Re-install the filter and close the front panel. Never operate without the filter.

Cleaning of the Front Panel and Cabinet

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth or a cloth moistened with mild soap. Rinse by wiping with a damp cloth and dry completely. Avoid splashing water. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Do not use hot water (120°F / 50°C or more).

Oiling of the Compressor and Fan Motor

The compressor and fan motor are permanently lubricated and sealed; oiling is unnecessary.

Removing the Air Conditioner

Operate the unit in FAN mode with high fan speed on a dry day for about half a day to dry the interior water before removal.
