Getting Started

Installing the Micro SD Card

Open the Micro SD card slot cover (4). Insert a compatible Micro SD card into the slot, ensuring the contacts face the correct direction as indicated. Push the card gently until it clicks into place. Close the cover securely. It is recommended to format the Micro SD card using the camera's menu before first use.

Charging the Camera

Connect the provided USB cable to the USB port (5) on the camera and the other end to a compatible USB power adapter or a computer's USB port. The Status LED (7) will illuminate to indicate that the camera is charging. Charging is complete when the LED turns off or changes color (refer to specific model indicators).

Connecting to a Computer

Connect the camera to your computer using the USB cable. Your computer should detect the camera as a removable storage device or a webcam. You can then transfer photos and videos from the Micro SD card or use the camera as a live video source.

Using the Camera

Powering On/Off: Press and hold the Power/Mode button (2) to turn the camera on or off.

Selecting Modes: Briefly press the Power/Mode button (2) to cycle through available modes such as Video Recording, Photo Capture, and Playback.

Recording Video: Select Video mode. Press the Record button (3) to begin recording. The Status LED (7) will typically flash to indicate recording is in progress. Press the Record button (3) again to stop recording.

Taking Photos: Select Photo mode. Press the Record button (3) to capture a still image.

Camera Settings

Access the camera's settings menu by navigating through the interface using the control buttons. Common settings include:

  • Resolution: Select video resolution (e.g., 1080p, 720p) and photo resolution.
  • Frame Rate: Choose the frames per second for video recording (e.g., 30fps, 60fps).
  • White Balance: Adjust color balance based on lighting conditions (e.g., Auto, Daylight, Cloudy).
  • Exposure: Control the brightness of the image.
  • Date/Time Stamp: Enable or disable displaying the date and time on recordings.
  • Format SD Card: Prepare the Micro SD card for use.
  • Language: Select the on-screen menu language.

Installing Mounts

The Emerson EVC600 is designed to be mounted in various configurations for different shooting scenarios. Use the provided accessories to attach the camera securely.

Installing the Mounts (Adhesive)

For smooth, clean surfaces, use the adhesive mounts. Ensure the surface is dry and free of dust or grease. Peel the protective backing from the adhesive pad and firmly press the mount onto the surface. Allow the adhesive to cure for at least 24 hours before attaching the camera to ensure maximum adhesion.

Installing the Mounts (Screw)

For more permanent or rugged installations, use the screw-mount accessories. Position the mount, mark the screw holes, and drill pilot holes if necessary. Securely fasten the mount using the provided screws. Ensure the mount is stable and can support the camera's weight.

Once the base mount is attached, the camera can be secured to it using the camera's mounting point (8) and any necessary adapters or locking mechanisms.
