The Logitech® Unifying Receiver
The Logitech Unifying receiver is a small USB device that allows you to connect multiple compatible Logitech wireless devices to a single USB port. It's designed to be plugged in and left connected.
Plug it. Forget it. Add to it.
Your Logitech product comes with a Unifying receiver. You can add other compatible Logitech wireless devices that feature the Unifying logo to the same receiver. This allows you to use a single USB port for up to six compatible devices.
Are you Unifying-ready?
If you have another Logitech wireless device marked with the orange Unifying logo, you can pair it with your existing Unifying receiver. This makes it easy to build a personalized wireless setup.
Getting Started with Unifying Pairing
To pair a new device with your Unifying receiver:
- Ensure your Unifying receiver is plugged into a USB port on your computer.
- If you haven't already, download the Logitech® Unifying software from www.logitech.com/unifying.
- Launch the Unifying software and follow the on-screen instructions to pair your new wireless device with your existing Unifying receiver. (Access the software via Start / All Programs / Logitech / Unifying / Logitech Unifying Software).
Help with Setup
If you encounter issues, consider the following:
- Power: Ensure both the mouse and keyboard are powered on using their respective On/Off switches.
- Receiver Connection: Verify the Unifying receiver is securely plugged into a computer USB port. Try a different USB port if necessary. If using a USB hub, try plugging the receiver directly into the computer.
- Batteries: Check that the battery tabs have been removed from the mouse and keyboard. Confirm batteries are inserted correctly. The mouse requires one AA alkaline battery, and the keyboard requires two AAA alkaline batteries. Replace batteries if they are low.
- Interference: Remove any metallic objects located between the mouse/keyboard and the Unifying receiver, as these can cause interference.
- Receiver Proximity: Move the Unifying receiver closer to the mouse and keyboard, or use the included USB extender cable for better signal strength.
- Reconnection: Try re-pairing the mouse/keyboard and Unifying receiver using the Logitech Unifying software.
