Care & Maintenance
- Avoid exposing your monitor directly to sunlight or other heat sources. Place it away from direct sun to reduce glare.
- Place your monitor in a well-ventilated area.
- Do not place heavy objects on top of your monitor.
- Ensure your monitor is installed in a clean and moisture-free area.
- Keep your monitor away from magnets, motors, transformers, speakers, and TV sets.
- If smoke, noise, or odor comes from the monitor, remove the power cord immediately and contact technical support.
- Never remove the rear cover of the monitor cabinet. The display unit inside contains high-voltage parts that may cause electric shock.
- Never attempt to repair your monitor yourself. Always contact your service center or a qualified technician.
Troubleshooting
- Ensure the AC power cord is securely inserted into both the AC-INLET socket on the monitor and the wall outlet.
- Plug another electrical device into the power outlet to verify that the outlet is supplying proper voltage.
- Make sure all signal cables are installed correctly.
- Ensure the video cable supplied with the monitor is tightly secured to the video output port on the back of the computer.
- Adjust the brightness setting.
- If any colors (red, green, blue) are missing, check the video cable to ensure it is securely connected. Loose or broken pins in the cable connector could cause an improper connection.
- Connect the monitor to another computer to test.
Safety & FCC Warning
This monitor is manufactured and tested with user safety as the primary principle. However, improper use or installation may result in danger to the monitor and the user. Carefully review the following WARNINGS before installation and keep this guide handy.
- Operate the monitor only with the correct power sources indicated on the rear label. Consult your local dealer or power company if unsure about your residence's power supply.
- Do not attempt to repair the monitor yourself; it contains no user-serviceable parts and should only be repaired by a qualified technician.
- Do not remove the monitor cabinet, as it contains high-voltage parts that can cause electric shock, even when the power cord is disconnected.
- Stop using the monitor if the cabinet is damaged and have it checked by a service technician.
- Place your monitor only in a clean, dry environment. Unplug it immediately if it gets wet and consult a service technician.
- Always unplug the monitor before cleaning. Clean the cabinet with a clean, dry cloth. Apply non-ammonia based cleaner onto the cloth, not directly onto the glass screen.
- Keep the monitor away from magnetic objects, motors, TV sets, and transformers.
- Do not place heavy objects on the cable or power cord.
- For safety, if a VESA mounting kit is purchased separately, ensure it is UL-Listed and only installed by service personnel.
This monitor has been tested and found compliant with Class B digital device limits per FCC Rules Part 15. These limits provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. The monitor generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. Improper installation or use may cause harmful interference to radio communications. While no guarantee against interference exists for a particular installation, if interference occurs, try reorienting the antenna, moving the monitor/receiver apart, or using a different power outlet. Consult your dealer or a qualified technician.
To maintain FCC compliance, use a grounded power supply cord and the provided shielded video interface cable with ferrite cores. Unauthorized modifications void the user's authority to operate the device.
Note: Shielded interface cables and AC power cords may be necessary to meet emission level limits.
The WEEE Directive aims to minimize the environmental impact of electrical and electronic goods by promoting reuse, recycling, and reducing landfill waste. The symbol on your V7 product or packaging indicates it must be disposed of separately from household waste at its end of life. It is your responsibility to dispose of electronic equipment at recycling centers to conserve natural resources.
European Union countries have collection centers for electrical and electronic equipment recycling. Contact your local waste management authority or retailer for drop-off information.
