Quick Start Guide
1. Using the Remote Control
Installing Batteries: Slide the battery cover down, insert 2 AAA batteries matching polarity.
Remote Control Buttons:
- POWER: Turns the TV on/off standby.
- TV GUIDE: Accesses the Electronic Program Guide (EPG).
- HOME: Accesses apps, Live TV, input devices, settings, and Google Play Store.
- INFO: Displays input, resolution, and HDR information.
- Google Assistant: Activates Google Assistant.
- OPTIONS: Displays menu options for the active screen.
- TV: Direct access to installed TV channels (OTA and select cable).
- SOURCE: Changes input source for connected devices.
- BACK: Returns to the previous menu screen.
2. Best Experience: Google Account
A Google account enhances your TV's potential by allowing access to the Google Play Store and app updates. You can use the TV without a Google account to watch Live TV and streaming apps like Netflix, VUDU, and YouTube.
Tip: Create a new Google account for your TV to avoid personal account interference.
3. Explore Your Television
The Android TV home screen provides access to movies, TV shows, music, apps, and settings. Press HOME to return to the home screen anytime.
Network Connection:
- Wired Connection: Recommended for the best experience. Connect an Ethernet cable from your router/modem to the TV's LAN port.
- Wireless Connection: Supports Wireless LAN 802.11ac MIMO for up to 4K streaming. Keep your Wi-Fi router within 15 feet for optimal performance. Avoid open or unencrypted Wi-Fi networks.
Setup with Android Device: Pair your Android smartphone or tablet to wirelessly sync Wi-Fi credentials, Google account, and apps. Follow on-screen instructions during initial setup.
Live TV: Access TV shows, sports, and news from TV apps or OTA tuner. Press OK while viewing Live TV to switch between Channels and TV options. Pause Live TV by connecting a USB drive (16GB or larger) and pressing II.
Google Assistant: Activate Google Assistant on the home screen for queries or within apps for app-specific searches. An internet connection and Google account are required. Visit https://assistant.google.com for more information.
SafeSearch Filter: Block inappropriate content in Google search results via Settings > Preferences > Google > SafeSearch filter.
4. Connecting Your Devices
Connect external devices before powering on the TV.
Antenna or Cable/Satellite/IPTV Set-Top Box:
- Antenna: Connect via RF cable to receive free digital broadcasts.
- Set-Top Box: Connect via HDMI cable. Use the SOURCE button to select the correct input.
HDMI EDID Version: Adjust for optimal picture quality. EDID 1.4 for legacy devices (2K/4K @30Hz), EDID 2.0 for modern devices (4K @60Hz, HDR 10). Access via HOME > Settings > Inputs > HDMI EDID Version.
Chromecast: Mirror apps to the TV. Ensure your casting device is on the same Wi-Fi network. Tap the cast icon in the app and select your TV.
Bluetooth Devices: Pair devices like headsets, keyboards, or game controllers. Go to HOME > Settings > Remote & accessories > Add accessory. Enable pairing mode on your device and select it on the TV.
5. Troubleshooting

6. Parental Control and Restricted Profile
Child and Rating Lock: Prevent use of specific apps or games. Set up a restricted profile in Settings > Personal > Security & restrictions > Create restricted profile. You will need to set a PIN and choose allowed/not allowed apps.
Parental Controls: Restrict programs/channels using rating locks. Set up via Settings > Device > Channel > Parental controls > Program restrictions > Ratings.
Rating Types and Restriction Levels:
- United States: TV-Y, TV-Y7, TV-G, TV-PG, TV-14, TV-MA
- United States (Film ratings): G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17, X
Restriction Levels: High, Medium, Low.
