The EX28 is a 2.5-way full-range active loudspeaker system building on the EX26, adding extended low frequency. Its compact profile suits FOH and infill applications in Theatres, Leisure venues, Houses of Worship, and Concert Halls requiring high quality from a discreet solution. It features two 8" neodymium mid-bass woofers for extended low frequency performance, with one unit incorporating KV2 Audio SLA Transcoil technology for improved vocal performance. A neodymium compression driver is mounted on a 100° x 80° horn.

Architectural Specifications
The Loudspeaker is a 2.5-way full-range Active driven design using SLA Technology (Super Live Audio). Amplifier power, electronic crossovers, phase alignment, equalization, and speaker protection are integrated into the EX28's amplifier module. The enclosure is constructed from two 8" Neodymium magnet structure Mid Bass woofers (one with KV2 Transcoil Technology) and a 1" Titanium Compression high-frequency driver mounted to a low-compression, constant-directivity horn assembly. The cabinet is made from reinforced Baltic Birch Ply with a toughened, impact and wear-resistant paint finish. The woofer components are protected by a full-size transparent rigid metal grille. The enclosure features one ergonomically designed recessed handle on the top and one on the side. The top handle includes a single M10 hang point and four M6 bracket points. Repeated M10 points are on the bottom for use with an EX28 Horizontal bracket (KVV987533). Two side-mounted M10 hang points (one in the side handle) are available for use with the EX28 Vertical bracket (KVV987532) or eyebolts.
The EX28 Amplifier provides a 450W high-efficiency current-enhancing switching design amplifier for low-mid frequencies and a 50W low-distortion Class AB Push-Pull amplifier for high frequencies. The control panel includes AC power input, XLR connector for audio input and output, a level control potentiometer (-/+ 6 dB), LED status lights (power, limit/thermal, signal input indicator), and a 90 Hz high-pass filter switch.
Input impedance is 20 kΩ, with an input sensitivity of 0.775 V RMS. The amplifier uses a Neutrik PowerCon connector for mains supply, operating between 100-120 V @ 60 Hz or 230-250 V @ 50 Hz. The recommended amperage is 6 A @ 115 V or 3 A @ 230 V. Temperature-controlled variable-speed fans assist internal convection cooling.
System acoustic performance is -3 dB from 62 Hz to 20 kHz, with a maximum long-term SPL of 126 dB. The speaker dimensions are: Height 668 mm (26.29"), Width 260 mm (10.23"), Depth 320 mm (12.59"). The weight does not exceed 23 kg (50.7 lb).
