Let your iPod™ double as a digital voice recorder.
This document provides setup instructions and warranty information for the Belkin Voice Recorder for iPod.
Setup Instructions
To Record Audio:
- Connect the Voice Recorder to your iPod and select "Extras > Voice Memos > Record Now".
- Press the "Play/Pause" button to begin recording. A green LED on the Voice Recorder will illuminate. Hold the microphone a few inches from your mouth and speak. To pause, press "Play/Pause" again.
- When finished, press "Menu". Your recording will be saved and listed by date and time.
To Play a Recording:
Select "Extras > Voice Memos" on your iPod and choose the desired recording. Recordings are saved in the WAV file format within a "Recordings" folder on your iPod. Note: The "Voice Memos" menu item only appears when the Voice Recorder is connected.
To Transfer Recordings to Your Computer:
Connect your iPod to your computer. Use your preferred application to transfer WAV files from your audio device. Recordings are stored in the "Recordings" folder on your iPod. You can also drag files from this folder to your desktop. Your iPod must be enabled for use as a hard disk.
Using the Voice Recorder as an Alarm Clock
- Connect the microphone to your iPod and select "Extras > Clock > Alarm Clock > Alarm". Set the alarm to "On".
- Select "Extras > Clock > Alarm Clock > Time" to set your desired alarm time.
- Select "Extras > Clock > Alarm Clock > Sound" to choose a playlist for your alarm. Songs from the selected playlist will play until you press "Play/Pause" to stop the alarm.
Belkin Corporation Limited Lifetime Product Warranty
Belkin Corporation warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship for its lifetime. If a defect is discovered, Belkin will, at its option, repair or replace the product at no charge. The product must be returned during the warranty period with transportation charges prepaid to the authorized Belkin dealer from whom it was purchased. Proof of purchase may be required.
This warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged by accident, abuse, misuse, or misapplication; if the product has been modified without Belkin's written permission; or if any Belkin serial number has been removed or defaced.
THE WARRANTY AND REMEDIES SET FORTH ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHERS, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. BELKIN SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
No Belkin dealer, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty.
BELKIN IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOST PROFITS, DOWNTIME, GOODWILL, DAMAGE TO OR REPROGRAMMING OR REPRODUCING, ANY PROGRAM OR DATA STORED IN OR USED WITH BELKIN PRODUCTS.
