TCL TAB 8 LE: On Device Demo Installation

Follow the steps below to install and uninstall Retail Demo Mode on the TCL TAB 8 LE demo devices.

Installing Retail Demo Mode

  1. From the home screen, swipe up to access the app drawer.

  2. Select the 'Tools' Menu.

  3. Select 'Calculator'.

  4. Input the code: %%%%%665544%%%%=

  5. Return to the app drawer and select 'Settings'.

  6. Connect to a Wi-Fi network. (Alternatively, cellular data can be used if an active SIM is inserted.)

  7. Return to 'Settings' and scroll down to select the 'System' tab.

  8. Tap 'Update apps'.

  9. Tap to update the 'Demo Mode' app.

  10. Click 'Open' once the download is complete.

  11. Click 'Activate'.

  12. Tap the 'Checkmark' icon.

  13. Enter the password: 852618.

  14. Click 'Okay'.

  15. Demo Mode will automatically activate after 10 seconds.

Demo Mode Features

Demo Mode is intended for use on shop demo devices only and should not be activated on normal user devices. Activating it allows Demo Mode to perform the following operations:
