This release note contains important information regarding D-Link switch firmware revisions. Please follow the steps below to find version information:

For new installations, check the hardware version on the device label. Ensure your switch meets the system requirements for this firmware version. Refer to the Revision History and System Requirement section for the firmware and hardware matrix.
If the switch is powered on, check the hardware version via the device information page on the web graphical user interface.
For firmware upgrades, refer to the Upgrade Instructions for the correct procedure.

Upgrade Instructions

You can download the firmware from the D-Link website http://tsd.dlink.com.tw and upgrade through the Web UI or the D-Link Network Assistant Utility.

Upgrade using Web-UI

Connect a workstation with a Java SE runtime environment to any switch port.
Open a web browser on the workstation and enter the switch's IP address. The default IP address is 10.90.90.90.
Enter the administrator's password when prompted. The default password is 'admin'.
To update the switch's firmware or configuration file, select Save > Firmware Backup & Upgrade from the banner.
Click Upgrade.
Click Browse to locate the saved firmware file on your computer, then click Upgrade after selecting the desired firmware file.
Wait for the "Firmware Upgrade Successful" message to appear, then log in again after the device boots up.

Upgrade using D-Link Network Assistant Chrome Edition

Connect a workstation with a Java SE runtime environment to any switch port.
Execute the D-Link Network Assistant Chrome Edition.
Click the Refresh button to search for target switches.
Single-click the icon in the column to choose the target switch.
Click the Firmware Upgrade button.
Click the Browse button and select the firmware file on your local hard drive.
Click the "Upgrade now" button to start the firmware upgrade.
Once the message changes to "Success", the firmware upgrade is complete.
