Cordless Pole Hedge Trimmer

It is essential that you read the instructions in this manual before assembling, operating, and maintaining the product. Subject to technical modification.
Intended Use
The cordless pole hedge trimmer is designed for home or domestic use by a single person outdoors, standing on solid ground. It is intended for cutting and trimming hedges, shrubs, and similar vegetation, extending up to a maximum length of 3.2 meters. It should be used in dry, well-illuminated conditions. It is not intended for cutting grass, trees, or branches, nor for any other purpose.
General Power Tool Safety Warnings

Work Area Safety
- Keep the work area clean and well lit.
- Do not operate in explosive atmospheres (flammable liquids, gases, dust).
- Keep children and bystanders away; distractions can cause loss of control.
Electrical Safety
- Ensure power tool plugs match outlets; never modify plugs.
- Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces (pipes, radiators, etc.).
- Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
- Do not abuse the cord; keep it away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts.
- When operating outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use.
- Use a residual current device (RCD) in damp locations.
Personal Safety
- Stay alert, use common sense. Do not use when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE): Always wear eye protection (?️). Use dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection (?) as appropriate.
- Prevent unintentional starting: Ensure the switch is OFF before connecting to power or battery, picking up, or carrying the tool.
- Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the tool on.
- Do not overreach; maintain proper footing and balance.
- Dress properly: Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts.
- Use dust extraction facilities if provided.
- Do not let familiarity lead to complacency; careless actions can cause severe injury.
Power Tool Use and Care
- Do not force the tool; use the correct tool for the application.
- Do not use if the switch does not turn the tool on and off.
- Disconnect the battery pack before making adjustments, changing accessories, or storing.
- Store idle tools out of reach of children.
- Maintain power tools: Check for misalignment, binding, or breakage. Have damaged tools repaired.
- Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
- Use the tool, accessories, and bits according to instructions and working conditions.
- Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.
Battery Tool Use and Care
- Recharge only with the specified charger.
- Use only with specifically designated battery packs.
- When not in use, keep battery packs away from metal objects (paper clips, coins, keys, etc.) to prevent shorting.
- Avoid contact with battery fluid if ejected; flush with water if contact occurs. Seek medical help if it contacts eyes.
- Do not use damaged or modified battery packs.
- Do not expose battery packs or tools to fire or excessive temperatures (above 130°C).
- Follow charging instructions and charge within the specified temperature range.
Service
- Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts.
- Never service damaged battery packs; this should only be done by the manufacturer or authorized providers.
Pole Hedge Trimmer Safety Warnings
- Keep all body parts away from the cutter blade.
- Carry the trimmer by the handle with the cutter blade stopped. Always fit the cutting device cover when transporting or storing.
Additional Safety Warnings
- Check local regulations regarding product use.
- Clear the work area before each use, removing objects that could be thrown or entangled.
- Check the hedge for foreign objects like wire fences.
- Exercise caution near fencing, posts, buildings, or other immovable objects.
- ⚡️ Electrical Hazard: Do not operate within 10 meters (33 ft) of overhead electrical lines.
- ⚠️ Thrown Objects: Keep bystanders, children, and pets at least 15 meters (50 ft) away. Stop the product if anyone enters the area.
- Do not allow children or untrained individuals to use the product.
- Constantly check for persons or animals behind or inside the hedge being trimmed.
- Do not operate in poor lighting; ensure a clear view of the work area.
- Ensure all handles and guards are fitted. Never use an incomplete or modified product.
- Check that all controls and safety devices function correctly. Do not use if the motor does not stop when the trigger is released.
- Inspect the product before each use for loose fasteners and securely attached guards/handles. Replace damaged parts.
- Do not modify the product.
- Wear full eye (?️) and hearing (?) protection. Wear head protection if there's a risk of falling objects.
- Wear heavy, long trousers, boots (?), and gloves (?). Do not wear loose clothing, short trousers, jewellery, or use with bare feet.
- Secure long hair above shoulder level.
- Hearing protection reduces awareness of warnings; pay extra attention to surroundings.
- Operating similar tools nearby increases risk.
- Do not use when tired, ill, or under the influence.
- Maintain firm footing and balance; do not overreach.
- Keep body parts away from moving parts. Ensure blades do not contact anything before starting.
- Never operate in an explosive atmosphere.
- Always hold firmly with both hands.
- The manufacturer does not recommend the use of steps or ladders.
- Ensure the pole hedge trimmer is correctly located in a designated working position.
- Use the supplied harness to support the product's weight and for easier movement. Adjust it comfortably.
- Identify and practice using the quick release mechanism for emergencies. Do not wear clothing that restricts access to it.
- Blades are sharp: Wear non-slip, heavy-duty protective gloves (?) when handling the blade assembly. Do not place hands or fingers between blades.
- Turn off the product, remove the battery, and ensure all moving parts have stopped before: adjusting working position, cleaning, clearing blockages, leaving unattended, or performing maintenance. Allow the trimmer to cool down.
- Do not force the product through heavy shrubbery; reduce pace if blades bind or slow down.
- Do not cut stems or twigs larger than 18 mm thick. Use a hand saw or pruning saw for larger stems.
- Do not operate with damaged or excessively worn blades.
- If the cutting mechanism strikes an object or unusual noise/vibration occurs, stop the product, remove the battery, and allow it to stop before inspecting for damage, tightening loose parts, or arranging for repair/replacement of damaged parts.
⚠️ WARNING: If the product is dropped, suffers heavy impact, or vibrates abnormally, stop immediately, inspect for damage, or identify the cause. Any damage should be repaired or replaced by an authorized service center.
⚠️ WARNING: Check that all shaft couplings on the extension shaft and tool are securely fastened before each use and at frequent intervals.
⚠️ WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, personal injury, and product damage due to short circuits, never immerse the tool, battery pack, or charger in fluid, or allow fluid to flow inside them. Corrosive or conductive fluids can cause short circuits.
Transportation and Storage
- Stop the product, remove the battery, and allow to cool before storing or transporting.
- Clean all foreign material from the product.
- Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, inaccessible to children and away from sources of ignition.
- Store the battery separately from the trimmer for extra safety. Keep away from corrosive agents. Do not store outdoors.
- Cover the blade with the blade protector before storing or transporting.
- Secure the product against movement or falling during vehicle transport.
Transporting Lithium Batteries: Follow local/national regulations for battery transport. Protect exposed connectors with insulating caps or tape. Do not transport cracked or leaking batteries.
Maintenance
⚠️ WARNING: Use only original manufacturer's replacement parts, accessories, and attachments. Failure to do so can cause injury, poor performance, and void the warranty.
⚠️ WARNING: Servicing requires expertise and should only be performed by a qualified service technician at an authorized service center using original replacement parts.
⚠️ WARNING: Blades are sharp. Exercise extreme caution when cleaning, lubricating, and fitting/removing the blade protector.
- Turn off the product, remove the battery, and ensure all moving parts have stopped before maintenance or cleaning.
- Only make adjustments or repairs described in this manual. Contact an authorized service center for other repairs.
- After each use, clean the product with a soft, dry cloth and brush.
- WARNING: Do not clean the blade with water.
- Clean debris from blades with a stiff brush and apply a rust-preventative lubricant before refitting the blade protector. Use recommended spray for even distribution.
- Lubricate blades lightly before use if necessary.
- Check all nuts, bolts, and screws regularly for proper tightness. Replace any damaged parts.
Residual Risk
Even with proper use, residual risks exist:
- Injury from blades: Keep blades away from yourself and others. Cover with blade protector when not in use.
- Injury from vibration: Use the right tool, designated handles, and limit working time/exposure.
- Hearing damage: Wear ear protection (?) and limit exposure.
Risk Reduction (Vibration)
Vibrations may contribute to Raynaud's Syndrome (tingling, numbness, blanching of fingers). Measures to reduce effects:
- Keep body warm in cold weather; wear gloves (?) to keep hands and wrists warm.
- Exercise after operation to increase blood circulation.
- Take frequent work breaks; limit daily exposure.
- If symptoms occur, discontinue use and consult a physician.

Getting Started
Wear Protective Gear: Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with sideshields (?️). Wear non-slip, heavy-duty protective gloves (?) when handling the blade assembly. Wear non-skid, protective footwear (?).

Connect Pole to Trimmer: Connect the pole to the hedge trimmer attachment. Tighten the shaft coupling by turning it clockwise.

Prepare Blade: Remove the blade protector. Slide the HEDGESWEEP over the blade.

Attach Shoulder Strap: Attach the shoulder strap.

Install Battery Pack: Install the battery pack. Ensure the latches on each side snap in place and the battery pack is securely attached.

Start Trimmer: Slide the lock out trigger forward and squeeze the trigger.

Operation
Operating the Pole Hedge Trimmer:
⚠️ CAUTION: DANGER! Risk of electrocution! Do not operate within 10 meters (33 ft) of overhead electrical lines.
Position the product at an angle of 60° or less, depending on the situation. Keep bystanders at least 15 meters (50 ft) away.
CAUTION: Always use two hands to operate the pole hedge trimmer.
- Remove the battery pack from the product.
- Cover the blade with the blade protector.
- Lay the product on the ground.
- Press the pivoting button and adjust the pole of the hedge trimmer to the required working angle. CAUTION: Do not touch the hedge trimmer blade while adjusting the angle.
- The working angle of the pole hedge trimmer can be adjusted to -45°, 0°, 35°, and 70°.
- Remove the blade protector.
- Install the battery pack. Ensure latches snap in place and the battery pack is securely attached.
- Unlock the telescopic release latch. Adjust the pole length according to the required working height.
- Snap the telescopic release latch in place. Ensure the telescoping collar is locked securely.
- Slide the lock out trigger forward and squeeze the trigger.
- Begin trimming the hedge from left to right.

Maintenance & Cleaning
Cleaning the Pole Hedge Trimmer
- Remove the battery pack.
- Remove the HEDGESWEEP. Clean the body and handles of the product with a soft, dry cloth and a brush. WARNING: Do not clean the blade with water.
- Lubricate the blades lightly before and after use with a plant-friendly lubricant.

Storage
Storing the Pole Hedge Trimmer:
- Remove the battery pack.
- Cover the blade with the blade protector.
- Loosen the shaft coupling. Remove the pole from the hedge trimmer attachment.
- Unlock the telescopic release latch. Adjust the pole length to minimum.
- Snap the telescopic release latch in place. Ensure the telescoping collar is locked securely.
- Store the product in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place, inaccessible to children and well away from sources of ignition.
