Below is an explanation of symbols used in this manual. Please read this important information before continuing.

Usage and Compatibility

This product is intended for use as internal memory in desktop computers and laptops.

Memory modules are divided into DIMM (for desktop computers) and SO-DIMM (for laptops). To select the correct memory module, check the connector standard in your host device (SDR, DDR, DDR2, DDR3, DDR4, DDR5). Standards differ in operating frequency and the shape of the edge connector (number of pins, notch positioning).

In case of connecting a memory module with higher capacity than supported by the host device, memory capacity may be reduced. Please refer to the technical specification of your device.

Installation

Before installing the memory module:

1. Turn off your computer and unplug it from the power source.
2. Remove the computer case side panel.
3. Remove the old memory module.
4. Install the new memory module in the correct memory slot, ensuring the notch aligns properly.
5. Once the memory is correctly seated, close the case panel and turn on the computer.

The new memory module will be recognized by the operating system.

Capacity

Storage capacity for GOODRAM memory modules is always expressed in decimal values. For example, 1GB equals 1,000,000,000 bytes. Operating systems that use binary conversion (e.g., 1GB equals 1,073,741,824 bytes) may show a lower storage capacity value than advertised. Additionally, a portion of the storage is reserved for files and firmware management.
