Follow these steps for installation:

  1. Step 1: Locate OBD-II Port

    Identify the Diagnostic Link Connector (DLC) port within the vehicle's cabin, typically under the dashboard near the steering wheel.

    Note: Heavy-duty trucks may use a different DLC. Consult your Authorized Reseller for heavy-duty truck applications or vehicle-specific harnesses.

  2. Step 2: Connect Device

    Connect the telematics device to the DLC port using the provided wiring harness.

  3. Step 3: Verify Device Status

    Observe the device's indicator lights to confirm its status. A successful connection is indicated by specific light patterns (refer to device documentation for details).

    Device Status Indicators:

    • Power: [Power Symbol]
    • Cellular: [Signal Bars]
    • GPS: [GPS Symbol]
    • Status: [Checkmark Symbol]
  4. Step 4: Secure Device

    Mount and secure the telematics device in its designated location.

Confirm the installation is successful:

  1. Step 1: Access Web Portal

    Navigate to www.installmygps.com in your web browser.

  2. Step 2: Log Installation Details

    Enter the required information, including Name, Company, and Serial Number (e.g., GA-SAM-PLE-1234), then click 'Log Install'.

  3. Step 3A: Device Communicating

    If the device is communicating successfully, you will see a confirmation, such as 'GA-SAM-PLE-1234 Device Communicating' with a checkmark [✔️].

  4. Step 3B: Device Not Communicating

    If the device is not communicating, you will see a message like 'GA-SAM-PLE-1234 Device Not Communicating' with an 'X' symbol [❌]. This indicates a potential issue that needs troubleshooting.
