Controls & Display

The VeSync app offers additional control and features.

Button Functions

Display Information

Air Quality Indicator Rings

These rings use an automatic sensor to display air quality:

Note: The air purifier takes 5 seconds to detect air quality upon startup. During this time, the rings are blue.

Note: Auto Mode does not use Turbo Mode. ECO Auto Mode is available via the VeSync app.

Getting Started

  1. Place the air purifier on a flat, stable surface. Pull the front cover off and then pull the tabs to remove the pre-filter. [Diagram showing front cover removal and pre-filter removal]
  2. Remove the True HEPA/Activated Carbon filter from inside. Remove its plastic packaging. Reinsert the filter and pre-filter into the air purifier. [Diagram showing filter removal, plastic packaging removal, and reinsertion]

Note: Ensure the True HEPA filter's ribbon handle faces outward.

  3. Replace the front cover, aligning its tabs with the slots on the bottom. The cover attaches with magnets. [Diagram showing front cover reattachment]
  4. Insert the power cord into the back of the air purifier.
  5. Ensure at least 15 inches / 38 cm of clearance around the front of the air purifier to allow for unobstructed airflow. Keep away from curtains or other items that might block airflow. [Diagram showing recommended clearance]

Using Your Smart Air Purifier

The VeSync app provides remote control and additional features.

Basic Operation

  1. Plug in the unit and tap the [power-button] to turn it on.
  2. Tap the [fan-speed-button] to cycle through fan speeds: Low (1 indicator), Medium (2 indicators), High (3 indicators).
  3. Tap the [power-button] to turn the unit off.

Note: For best results or to address specific air quality issues like smoke, run Turbo Mode for 15-20 minutes before switching to a lower speed. Keep windows and doors closed for effective air cleaning.

Modes

Air Quality Information

The air purifier analyzes air quality and displays it. By default, it shows the overall clean air percentage.

Clean Air Percentage

An estimated measurement of clean air (0% bad to 100% very good), calculated based on particle concentration and changes during purification. Note: This is approximate and only detects airborne particles, not odors or gases.

PM Values

PM stands for Particulate Matter, referring to airborne particles like dust and allergens. The AirSight Plus™ 2.0 sensor measures these particles in µg/m³. Lower numbers indicate better air quality.

Particulate Matter (PM) Size Examples
PM1.0 ≤ 1 µm Fine dust, micro-toxins
PM2.5 ≤ 2.5 µm Dust, smoke, pet dander
PM10 ≤ 10 µm Pollen, ash, airborne allergens

Vent Rotation Angle

Adjust the vent direction to disperse purified air more effectively.

Note: The VeSync app allows adjustment to any angle between 45°-90°.

Note: Do not unplug the unit while running. Turn it off first. Vents may not close if power is cut unexpectedly.

Light Detection

The built-in light sensor automatically adjusts settings based on room light.

Note: Light Detection can be enabled/disabled in the VeSync app.

Timer

Set a timer for 1-12 hours using the unit's controls, or 1-24 hours via the VeSync app.

Note: The unit remembers the last timer setting when turned off, but it must be restarted manually.

Memory Function

When plugged in and turned off, the unit remembers previous fan speed, vent angle, Sleep Mode, Auto Mode, and Turbo Mode settings, as well as app settings for Display Off and Light Detection.

Note: If unplugged, only fan speed, Sleep Mode, Auto Mode, Turbo Mode, and Light Detection settings are remembered.

Standby Mode

The air purifier enters Standby Mode when turned off but still plugged in. The laser dust sensor continues to monitor air quality and provide updates via the VeSync app.

Note: VeSync app's Display Lock can prevent the unit from being turned back on in Standby Mode.

VeSync App Functions

The VeSync app provides access to additional smart features:

About the Filter

The air purifier uses a 3-stage filtration system:

Note: Carbon filter efficiency decreases with use. Replace if odors or gasses are not filtered effectively.

Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR)

The unit has a CADR of 360 CFM / 612 m³/h. CADR measures how efficiently the purifier cleans air by indicating the volume of clean air produced per minute. It's based on dust, pollen, and smoke removal. Higher CADR means more particles removed and a larger area cleaned.

Air Change Per Hour (ACH)

ACH indicates how many times all the air in a room is purified per hour. For a room up to 558 ft² / 52 m² with 8 ft ceilings, this purifier achieves 5 ACH at max speed. For larger rooms, purification takes longer, with fewer ACH.

Humidity

Maintain humidity below 85% RH. Excessive moisture can damage the filter and lead to mold growth. Remove the moisture source and clean any mold.

Essential Oils

Do not add essential oils to the purifier or filter, as this can damage the filter and cause unpleasant smells. Avoid using diffusers near the unit.

Note: Keep windows and doors closed for effective air cleaning.

Care & Maintenance

Cleaning the Smart Air Purifier

Check Filter Indicator

The [filter-indicator] light illuminates as a reminder to check the filter, typically after 12-15 months of use. You may not need to replace it yet, but check it when the light is on.

The VeSync app provides real-time filter life percentage and notifications. The app's algorithm determines filter life based on air quality, usage, and other factors.

Resetting the Check Filter Indicator

Reset the indicator when:

Cleaning the Pre-Filter

Clean the pre-filter every 2-4 weeks to maintain efficiency and filter life. Use a soft brush or vacuum hose to remove hair, dust, and large particles. It can also be washed with water.

Note: Avoid scrubbing or using abrasive materials.

  1. Open the front cover and pull out the pre-filter. [Diagram showing pre-filter removal]
  2. Vacuum the surface of the pre-filter. [Diagram showing vacuum cleaning of pre-filter]
  3. Rinse the pre-filter with water.
  4. Wash with mild detergent and a soft cloth. [Diagram showing pre-filter being washed]
  5. Allow the pre-filter to air-dry completely before reinserting it. [Diagram showing pre-filter reinsertion]

Filter Maintenance Summary

Filter When to Clean How to Clean When to Replace
Washable Pre-Filter Every 2–4 weeks Soft cloth or vacuum hose; Wash with water and mild detergent Does not need to be replaced
True HEPA / Activated Carbon Filter Do not clean N/A 12–15 months

When Should I Replace the Filter?

The True HEPA / Activated Carbon Filter should be replaced every 12-15 months. Replacement frequency may vary based on usage and air quality. Signs that replacement is needed include reduced effectiveness in filtering odors, increased noise, decreased airflow, unusual odors, or visible dust/discoloration on the HEPA filter after pre-filter removal.

Note: Use only official Levoit filters for optimal performance. Contact Customer Support for more information.

Replacing the Filter

  1. Unplug the air purifier and remove the front cover.
  2. Remove the old filter.
  3. Vacuum any dust or hair from inside the unit. [Diagram showing internal cleaning with vacuum]

Note: Do not use water or liquids to clean the air purifier.

  4. Remove the plastic packaging from the new filter and insert it into the air purifier.
  5. Replace the front cover.
  6. Plug in and turn on the unit. Reset the Check Filter Indicator (see page 17).

Cleaning the AirSight Plus 2.0 Laser Dust Sensor

The sensor can be blocked by dust, affecting accuracy. Clean it every 3 months, or more often in dusty environments.

  1. Unplug the air purifier.
  2. Use a vacuum cleaner nozzle to clean the sensor openings for at least 10 seconds. [Diagram showing vacuum cleaning of sensor openings]

Storage

If storing the air purifier for an extended period, wrap it and the filter in plastic packaging and store in a dry place to prevent moisture damage.
