OG 2014-Up Touring Lower Triple Tree kit
OG 2014-Up Touring Lower Triple Tree kit-1.0 Please refer to your bike service manual for additional guidance. 1. Disassemble: a. 2014-2023 Road King: Remove the headlamp nacelle. Please be aware that installing on a Road King will require some trimming on the OEM headlamp nacelle. Additionally, you will need our OG Batwing Fairing Clamps for 2014-Up Touring Top Triple Tree to remount the headlamp nacelle. b. 2014-2023 Street Glide: Remove the inner fairing assembly nacelle. Note that our OG Batwing Fairing Clamps for 2014-Up Touring Top Triple Tree are required for installation on a Street Glide. c. 2014-2023 Road Glide: Remove the instrument nacelle. 2. Disconnect Wiring: a. Disconnect left and right handlebar switch connectors. b. For FLHXRS, disconnect the front turn signal lamp connectors. c. Disconnect the ignition switch connector. d. Disconnect the throttle sensor connector. e. Disconnect the upper fork bracket ground connector. f. If equipped, disconnect heated hand grip connectors. *For a smoother installation, keep your hand controls and switches installed on the handlebar. 3. Remove the front wheel, fender and suspension. 4. Separate the handlebar from the top triple tree. 5. Remove the OEM or OG top triple tree. 6. Remove the OEM lower triple tree and fork stem. 7. Slide the OG Fork Stem into the OG Lower Triple Tree. Refer to the attached diagram. Do not torque the Fork Stem pinch bolt yet. 8. Install lower neck bearing on the OG Fork Stem. 9. Install the upper neck bearing & slide the OG Fork Stem/Lower Triple Tree assembly into the neck. 10. Thread the OG Stem Nut on the OG Fork Stem. Torque the Stem Nut until the bearings are properly seated. 11. Torque the lower Fork Stem pinch bolt to: 30 ft-lbs 12. Install the OG Top Triple Tree. Please refer to the OG 2014-2023 Touring Top Triple Tree installation instructions for additional guidance. 13. Do not torque any pinch bolt on the Top Triple Tree yet. 14. Install the front suspension, fender and wheel. 15. Use the supplied P-Clamp to attach the front brake line to the OG Lower Tree. 16. Install your handlebar and risers on the top triple tree. 17. Adjust the torque on the stem nut. Please refer to your bike service manual for additional guidance. 18. Torque all the pinch bolt on the lower tree and triple tree. Refer to the attached diagram for the torque values. 19. Reconnect the wiring. 20. Reassemble: a. Road King: Reattach the headlamp nacelle. b. Street Glide: Reassemble the inner fairing. Do not install the dash panel at this stage.
