Logging In

To access your FleetFlix data:

  • Log into your my.geotab.com database.
  • You will see the main dashboard for your database.

[Description of a screenshot showing the Geotab dashboard with various charts and metrics like 'Watchdog Report', 'Fleet Utilization', 'Idling Violations', 'Fleet Distance Trend'.]

Cameras Dashboard

This is the main FleetFlix AI Cameras page where you will see a full list of the FleetFlix devices in your database.

[Description of a screenshot showing the FleetFlix AI Cameras page with a list of devices and action buttons.]

At the top of this page, you will see different tiles, each detailing the status of your devices:

  • Total cameras: Lists the total number of devices you have.
  • Online, Standby, Offline: These list the total number of devices currently in each status.
  • Require Measurements & Require Calibration: These tiles indicate devices that need measurements entered or calibration. Contact Fleet Hoster support if assistance is needed.
  • Require Subscription, Require Serial Number, Require Firmware/Software Update, and Data Protection Tiles: These tiles are for Fleet Hoster's internal visibility.

Device Details and Status

Underneath the “Name” column, you will find important status information for each device:

  • Name of the device: The name assigned to the device.
  • Serial number or Geotab device: The serial number or the Geotab device the camera is paired with.
  • Camera Status: There are three types:
    • Online: Indicated by green. Means the ignition is on & the vehicle is moving. The camera is actively recording.
    • Standby: Indicated by orange. Means the vehicle's ignition has been turned off. The camera stays in standby mode for 30 minutes, allowing time to download/view footage.
    • Offline: Indicated by red. Means the camera is not connected to the network and is not actively recording.
  • IMEI: The IMEI is the number used to identify each device.
  • Current driver & License plate: You can assign a driver and license plate number to each device.

Live Stream

To the far right of each device, you will see an option to view live stream footage. Clicking the drop-down arrow reveals options:

  • Front Camera
  • Driver Camera
  • Auxiliary Cameras (if installed)

Camera Views

PLEASE NOTE!: Constant live streaming is not recommended as it will affect data usage for your device.

Individual Device Settings & Calibration Status

Begin by clicking on the name of the device. This leads to a screen with three sections: Profile, Rule Settings, and Measurements. Auxiliary cameras also show Router Settings and Aux. Settings.

Profile

This section lists specific information for each device:

  • IMEI: The IMEI of the device.
  • Description: Where you can name the device.
  • Geotab vehicle: Pair your device with the appropriate Geotab vehicle. If GO9s are not utilized, this can be disregarded.

Measurements

Input vehicle measurements here to accurately calibrate your camera:

  • Width of vehicle
  • Height from camera mount to ground
  • Length from camera mount to front of vehicle

[Description of a screenshot showing the 'Measurements' tab within 'Camera Edit', with fields for 'Width of Vehicle', 'Height from Camera Mount to Ground', and 'Length from Camera Mount to Front of Vehicle'.]

Rule Settings

This page allows you to configure your camera to capture different events:

5 Options for Capturing Event Data:

  • Off: No notification will be received for that rule.
  • Event only: Receive just a notification that an event occurred.
  • Short video: Receive a short video (3 seconds before, 2 seconds after).
  • Long video: Receive a long video (5 seconds before, 5 seconds after).
  • Snapshot: Capture a snapshot/photo.

Types of Events:

  • Button pushed: Allows the driver to timestamp an important event (e.g., accident). Recommended setting: “Video”.
  • Camera blocked: Alerts if something obstructs the camera lens (in-cab lens only). Recommended setting: Snapshot.
  • Collision: Triggers upon collision; sensitivity can be adjusted.
  • Driver distracted: Triggers when the driver's eyes are off the road for 2+ seconds.
  • Driver facing camera: Option to disable the in-cab camera based on company policy.
  • Driver fatigue: Detects head nodding, heavy eyelids, or head rolling back, indicating a need for a break.
  • Driver Phoning: Triggers if the camera detects a phone in the driver's hands.
  • Hard brake & hard cornering: Triggered by side-to-side movement; sensitivity is adjustable.
  • Harsh acceleration: Triggers if the driver accelerates faster than normal; sensitivity is adjustable.
  • Lane departure: Alerts if the driver switches lanes without turn signals or swerves. Requires wiring to the turn signal (grey and pink wires).
  • Tailgate warning: Triggers if the driver follows too closely; sensitivity is adjustable based on seconds before impact.
  • Trip snapshots: Captures snapshots every 2 minutes on a trip (appears in MAPS section). Uses significant data; recommended to disable if not needed.
  • Record audio: Allows recording of in-cab audio. Audio is only audible on downloaded footage, not during live streaming.
  • Wakeup Sensitivity: If ignition is off and a G-Force event occurs, the camera wakes up to capture the cause.
  • Idle time: Configures recording duration when the vehicle is not moving but requires continuous recording (e.g., for concrete trucks).
  • Standby time: Duration (30 minutes) after the vehicle is turned off to allow access to footage.
