3. Intelligent Features
3.1 Environmental Controls
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
ANC uses advanced technology and multiple microphones to cancel out ambient sound for a more comfortable listening experience. A good seal between the headphones and your head is crucial for optimal performance. Removing one earcup will disable ANC.
Ambient Pass-Through
This mode allows external sounds, such as conversations or safety announcements, to be heard clearly without removing the headphones. The Quick Action button can cycle through ANC On, Pass-Through On, and both Off. These settings can be customized in the Bowers & Wilkins Music app.
3.2 Voice Assistance
Your device's voice assistant can be assigned to the Quick Action button. Refer to section 6.2.5 for details.
3.3 Wear Sensors
- Power saving: The sensors enable intelligent battery conservation by pausing media playback when headphones are removed and entering a low power standby mode. Playback resumes automatically when worn again.
- Playback Control: During media playback, lifting an earpiece pauses music. Replacing it resumes playback.
Note: Wear sensor functionality can be enabled/disabled and sensitivity adjusted in the Bowers & Wilkins Music App.
4. Battery Charging and Power Saving
The headphones are partially charged upon arrival and can be used immediately. For best practice, fully charge before first use (approx. 2 hours). The headphones can be used while charging.
To charge:
- Use the supplied USB-C cable and connect one end to a USB power source.
- Connect the other end to the USB-C socket on the headphone's left earpiece.
5. Bluetooth Connectivity
Pairing your headphones to a source device is necessary for wireless audio streaming. The Bowers & Wilkins Music app can assist with pairing and configuration.
5.1 Pairing
Your headphones enter pairing mode automatically when turned on for the first time. The status LED will flash blue. To manually enter pairing mode (e.g., for a second device), slide the power switch to the upper position and hold for 5 seconds. The LED will flash blue. Pairing mode exits after 2 minutes if no device is connected.
5.1.1 Apple iPhone
Install the Bowers & Wilkins Music app for guided pairing. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone and keep the headphones within 10 cm (4 inches). Follow app instructions to pair.
5.1.2 Mac / PC / Android / Other Devices
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the headphones are in pairing mode.
- Keep headphones within 10 cm (4 inches) of the source device.
- On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and select 'Px7 S3'.
- A solid blue LED or an audible tone indicates successful pairing.
Note: On Windows, 'Px7 S3' may appear as two profiles: Stereo and Hands-Free. The Hands-Free profile is used for calls.
5.1.3 Google Fast Pair
For compatible Android devices, turn on the headphones and bring them close to your device. Follow on-screen instructions for pairing.
5.2 Disconnect from a Device
Turn off the headphones by sliding the power switch down. Alternatively, use your device's Bluetooth settings to disconnect or disable Bluetooth. To prevent automatic connection, remove the device from the Px7 S3's paired list in the Bowers & Wilkins Music app.
5.3 Multiple Bluetooth Connections
The headphones can be paired with up to two devices simultaneously, but only one can be active for audio or calls at a time. To switch playback between devices, pause audio on the first device and play audio from the second. Receiving a call on the second device will automatically pause playback on the first.

8. Resetting / Troubleshooting
8.1 Power Cycle and Reset
If the headphones stop working, try powering them off, waiting 5 seconds, and powering them back on. If unresponsive, perform a factory reset.
Note: The reboot/reset process may generate noise. Do not wear headphones during this process.
8.2 Factory Reset
A factory reset clears the product's paired device history and restores all settings to default.
To factory reset:
- Remove headphones from your head and disconnect any cables.
- Slide the power button up and simultaneously press the Quick Action button for 3 seconds until the LED flashes amber.
If a factory reset does not resolve the issue, try a reboot.
8.3 Reboot
If headphones are unresponsive, reboot them:
- Remove headphones from your head and disconnect any cables.
- Slide the power button up and simultaneously press the Quick Action button for 6 seconds until the LED extinguishes.
9. Caring For Your Headphones
Clean headphones and case with a soft, clean, damp cloth. Gently dab to clean. Avoid cleaning detergents, rubbing alcohol, or chemical cleaners, as they may damage the product.
