Alcove or Closet Installation:
- Dryer must be exhausted to the outside.
- Minimum clearances: 0 inches on all sides and top to adjacent walls or surfaces.
- Closet doors require ventilation: minimum 60 sq. in. of open area for a washer, 120 sq. in. for a washer and dryer combination.
Bathroom or Bedroom Installation: Dryer must be exhausted outdoors. Installation must comply with local codes, National Electric Code, and National Fuel Gas Code.
Minimum Clearances to Combustible Surfaces: 0 inches on all sides and top. A 1/2 inch clearance is suggested on each side for improved performance.
