Product Overview
The STC-8080A defrosting thermostat features one sensor and two output relays designed to connect and control refrigeration and defrosting units. It can trigger an alarm when the temperature exceeds a preset point.
1. Wiring Diagram
The STC-8080A+ has terminals for power input and sensor connection. The diagram shows:
- Terminals 1-6 are for 10A/220V connections, with terminals 1, 3, 5 being Normally Closed (NC) and 2, 4, 6 being Live wiring Input Co-Point.
- Terminals 7-9 are for the Sensor.
- Terminals 10-11 are for power input (E, N, L).
- Labels indicate: NC (Normally Closed point), Co (Live wiring Input Co-Point), Compressor, and Defrosting.
Note: This unit does not output AC electricity. All live and null wires must be connected to the appropriate ports. Jumper wires can be used conveniently.
2. Function Menu
The thermostat has the following functions:
Function Code | Description |
---|---|
F1 | Temperature for Refrigeration Starts |
F2 | Temperature for Refrigeration Stops |
F3 | Calibration = Real – Measured |
F4 | Defrosting Cycle / Interval Time |
F5 | Defrosting Lasting Time |
F6 | Over-temperature to Trigger Alarm (more than F1) |
3. Configuration
The desired temperature range is set between F1 and F2:
- If temperature is ≥ F1, refrigeration starts.
- If temperature is ≤ F2, refrigeration ends.
Configuration Steps:
- Step 1: Hold the [Set] key for 3 seconds. The code F1 will appear.
- Step 2: Press the [▲] or [▼] keys to select the function you wish to update.
- Step 3: Press the [Set] key to view the existing value.
- Step 4: Hold the [Set] key while pressing the [▲] or [▼] key to change the value. Release all keys once the desired value is reached. Repeat steps 2-4 to adjust other parameters.
- Step 5: After configuring all values, press the [Rst] key to save data and return to the normal monitoring status.
Attention: Modified values are saved automatically and the unit returns to normal status if no operation is performed for 30 seconds.
4. Open the Forced Refrigeration
Hold the [▼] key for 3 seconds to initiate the forced-defrosting mode. Perform the same action again to stop defrosting.
More Tips
This unit controls defrosting based on time intervals, not evaporator temperature, unlike the STC-9100. For more detailed information, refer to the Full-Content Version User Manual.
