Important Safety Instructions
⚠️ CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. DO NOT OPEN.
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, never open the unit. There are no user-serviceable parts; refer service to an authorized Rockville service center.
- Do not expose this unit to any kind of moisture.
- Ensure the unit is situated in a properly ventilated area.
- Make sure the unit is placed on a level and stable surface.
Front Panel Functions
Channel Controls (Channels 1-4)
- 1. Channel Reverb Control: Controls the amount of reverb added to the input signals.
- 2. Channel Treble Control: Adjusts treble frequencies ±15dB.
- 3. Channel Bass Control: Adjusts bass frequencies ±15dB.
- 4. Microphone/Low Impedance XLR Input: Connect balanced low-impedance microphones (1K ohms). PIN 1 = shield, PIN 2 = positive (hot), PIN 3 = negative (cold).
- WARNING: When using condenser microphones, ensure Phantom Power (15V) is switched on.
- 5. Line/High Impedance 1/4" Input: Use for high-impedance microphones, line-level devices (cassette player, CD player, video projector, laptop), electric guitar, bass, or keyboard. This is a two-conductor input with an impedance of 10K ohms.
- 6. Channel Volume Control: Controls the volume level for each channel. Acts as a preamp; match levels with source devices.
MP3/USB & Master Controls
- 7. Master EFFX Controls:
- Volume: Controls the level of effects added to the master mix.
- Echo: Controls the character of the reverb, affecting the decay rate.
- Delay: Controls the delay of the reverb, simulating the effects of a larger room.
- 8. MP3 Player Controls:
- Play/Pause Button: Press to play or pause the current track.
- Stop Button: Press to stop the current track.
- Repeat Button: Press to repeat the current song, repeat all songs, or exit repeat mode.
- Next Button: Press to go to the next track.
- Previous Button: Press to go to the previous track.
- 9. Play LED: Indicates the MP3 player is on.
- 10. Repeat One/All LED: Indicates repeat mode is active.
- 11. LED Power Indicator: Shows the unit is powered on.
- 12. Master Volume: Controls the overall volume of the mixer.
- 13. CD/Tape Volume: Controls the volume of the line input.
- 14. USB Port: Insert a USB flash drive to automatically play music. Drives must be formatted in FAT or FAT32 format (NTFS is not recognized).
- 15. Phantom Power ON/OFF Button: (Red LED indicates power is on). Provides +15V for condenser microphones.
- 16. MP3 Volume: Controls the input volume for the USB source.
Rear Panel Functions
- 1. Power Switch: Turns the unit ON or OFF.
- 2. IEC AC Power Socket: Connect the supplied power cord here.
- 3. Fuse Holder: Contains a user-serviceable fuse. Replace with the same type and rating.
- 4. Speaker Outputs: Two 1/4" TRS jacks for connecting 4-ohm or 8-ohm speakers.
- ⚠️ WARNING: Do not operate below the rated minimum impedance.
- 5. Effect Return: 2-conductor 1/4" line input to connect the output of an external effects device.
- 6. Line Out: 1/4" TRS line output to connect a powered subwoofer or send the line signal to an external device.
- 7. Tape Input: Used to connect line-level sources such as DJ controllers, mixers, samplers, CD players, cassette decks, DAT machines, MP3 players, etc. Mono audio sources can be connected using an RCA "Y" cable.
- 8. RCA Record Out: Sends signal to a recording device or any other line-level device.
Setup Examples
The RPM45 can be configured in various ways depending on your needs. Here are common setup examples:
Setup 1: Subwoofer and Speakers
Connect a powered subwoofer to the 1/4" Line Out jack and two 8-ohm speakers to the 1/4" Speaker Outputs on the back of the unit.
Setup 2: Stage Monitor and Speakers
Connect a powered stage monitor to the 1/4" Line Out jack and two 8-ohm speakers to the 1/4" Speaker Outputs on the back of the unit.

Rear Panel Connections:
- Speaker Outputs (A & B) connect to two 8-ohm speakers.
- Line Out connects to a powered subwoofer or stage monitor.
- Effect Return connects to an external effects processor.
- Tape Input connects to sources like CD players or DJ controllers.
- RCA Record Out connects to a recording device.
Front Panel Input Connections:
- Microphone/Low Impedance XLR Inputs: For microphones.
- Line/High Impedance 1/4" Inputs: For instruments (guitar, bass, keyboard), high-impedance microphones, or line-level devices.
- MP3/USB Input: For playback from USB drives or CD/Tape sources.
Note: Line-level consumer devices like CD players or tape decks may require an RCA to 1/4" cable.

Fuse Replacement
Follow these steps to replace the fuse:
- Use a screwdriver to release the fuse holder.
- Remove the fuse holder from the unit.
- Carefully remove the old fuse.
- Insert a new fuse of the same type and rating.
- Re-insert the fuse holder securely into the unit.
