Introduction
This document serves as the user manual for the TCTEC KL130 device, providing comprehensive guidance on its operation and features. It covers essential precautions, connectivity options, recording functionalities, playback methods, and customization settings to ensure users can effectively utilize the device.
Precautions
Users are advised to adhere to several precautions for safe and optimal use:
- Avoid opening, repairing, or modifying the product.
- Keep the product away from water and extreme environmental conditions (cold, hot, high temperature, humid, dusty, magnetic fields).
- Switch the device to "OFF" if not in use for an extended period.
- Back up important files regularly to prevent data loss.
- Use the product responsibly and legally, respecting privacy.
- The company is not liable for data loss during maintenance.
- Avoid rubbing the product during recording.
- Keep small parts away from children.
- Do not disconnect the connection during data transfer to prevent damage.
- Avoid setting headphone volume to maximum to protect hearing.
Connecting to Computer & Charging
Connect the device to a computer using the USB cable to access files as a "removable disk". Data transfer is indicated by flashing red and blue lights. For charging, connect to a computer or a wall charger adapter (1A). The red light indicates charging, and the blue light signifies a full charge. It is recommended to fully charge the device monthly to maintain battery health.
Recording Modes
The device supports two primary recording modes:
- Voice Activated Recording (VOR): Set the switch to "Va". The blue light will flash three times and turn off, indicating VOR mode. Recording starts automatically when sound is detected above a set threshold and stops during silence.
- Continuous Recording: Set the switch to "On". The indicator lights will turn on, then the red light flashes three times and turns off, signifying recording is active. The indicator lights remain off during continuous recording.
To save recordings in either mode, turn the switch to the middle "OFF" position. The red light will briefly illuminate before turning off.
Playback Functionality
Insert earphones into the USB port. Turn the switch to "On" or "Va" position; the blue light will flash, indicating playback mode. Long-press the play/pause button on the wired control earphone to switch between recording playback and music playback.
Volume Control: Long-press the '+' button to increase volume and the '-' button to decrease volume. A beep indicates maximum volume.
Track Navigation: Short-press the '+' button for the next track/song and the '-' button for the previous track/song. The middle button pauses or plays.
Customizing Settings
Connect the device to a computer and open the "Disk". Edit the "MRECSET.txt" file to customize settings:
- Time: Input your time zone.
- VOR: Adjust voice sensor sensitivity on a scale of 1-7.
- BIT: Set the bit rate for sound quality (higher is better).
- GAIN: Adjust recording volume (higher is louder).
- PART: Define segment length for audio files (e.g., 15 minutes per file).
