Smart Equipment (SE) Control v4.4.0.31 Firmware Update Release
Date Issue: 10/5/23
Ducted Systems is pleased to announce the release of v4.4.0.31 firmware update for Smart Equipment (SE) control boards. This update features new firmware upgrade improvements, several fixes, and modifications to current control applications. For full details on changes included in this firmware update, please refer to the Offerings Catalog under Packaged & Split DX Systems | Light Commercial Controls | Smart Equipment Controls.
Norman production lines will begin phasing in this new firmware patch in early 2024. In the interim, implementation of v4.4.0.31 requires either an in-person manual update or an over-the-air remote update using a Verasys SBH300. The installed firmware version on a Smart Equipment Control Board can be confirmed via the LCD Display manual navigation or through the MAP Gateway user interface using a smart device.
Customers with existing units running older firmware versions who wish to upgrade to v4.4.0.31 may do so. Instructions and files for upgrading units are available on Solution Navigator under Resources > Product Tools > Ducted Systems > UPG Tech Service Software, including the firmware package 4.4.0.31.secusb.pkg
.
Following the release of v4.0 in January 2020, which introduced additional features, menu structures, and supported applications, it is still recommended that customers update their Mobile Access Portal (MAP) Gateway tools to ensure visibility of Smart Equipment v4.0+ additions.
The MAP Gateway must be on firmware version 5.1.0.355 to view the latest features. Instructions for upgrading the MAP Gateway can be found on Solution Navigator under Products > Commercial Ducted Systems / Light Commercial Controls > Light Commercial Controls > Light Commercial Controls > Smart Equipment Controls.
All 4.4.0.31 Smart Equipment Units manually updated will remain compatible with Verasys and require BACnet communication cards for integration. More information on Verasys is available at www.verasyscontrols.com.
