Understanding Scaler Frequency: 25K or 30K
Magnetostrictive scalers operate at either 25K or 30K frequencies. Using an incompatible insert can lead to the scaler not operating or the insert not fitting the handpiece. Parkell's TurboSensor (D560-110) and Integra (D680-110) are compatible with both 25K and 30K inserts, while the TurboVue (D570-110) is designed exclusively for 30K.

Handpiece Sheaths for Infection Control
Enhance your practice's infection control by using removable and autoclavable handpiece sheaths. Parkell's TurboSensor, TurboVue, and Integra handpieces feature these sheaths. To determine the number of sheaths needed, divide your daily patient count by your autoclave cycles.
Helpful Hint: For offices that use one insert per patient, bag a sheath with each insert and sterilize them together.
