Amylior Information Bulletin
Amylior's 11" Power Seat Elevation Option is Now ALTA
Introduction
Please note that, effective IMMEDIATELY, Amylior's 11" power seat elevation options will be marketed under a new name: ALTA.
May 2023, United States CMS decision:
“The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) finds that power seat elevation equipment on Medicare-covered power wheelchairs (PWCs) falls within the benefit category for durable medical equipment (DME). CMS finds in this national coverage analysis that the evidence is sufficient to determine that power seat elevation equipment is reasonable and necessary for individuals using complex rehabilitative power-driven wheelchairs when certain conditions are met.”
Amylior is thrilled that more beneficiaries will be able to realize the functional and clinical benefits provided by power seat elevation. Amylior continues to work with industry groups as coding and reimbursement guidelines are finalized for this technology.
