Key Features
- Electronic Brake: Provides rapid braking for increased productivity and safety. For example, the DGA508 with a diamond blade stops in 1 second, and with a cutting wheel in 0.7 seconds.
- Anti-Kickback Technology (AFT): If the tool's rotation speed suddenly decreases (e.g., due to kickback), the tool automatically shuts off the motor to reduce kickback effects.
- Automatic Torque Drive (ADT): Automatically adjusts the cutting speed according to the load condition, enabling high-speed operation with light load and high torque with heavy load for optimal performance.

Battery and Charger Information
These tools are powered by Makita's 18V Lithium-Ion batteries. Available battery capacities include BL1860B (6.0Ah), BL1850B (5.0Ah), BL1840B (4.0Ah), BL1830B (3.0Ah), BL1820B (2.0Ah). The BL1815N (1.5Ah) is also compatible but does not feature a battery charge indicator. Compatible chargers include DC18RC and DC18SD.
Accessories
Standard accessories typically include a grinding wheel, wrench, and side handle. A dust collecting cover is available for DGA506/DGA508 models (Part No: 196845-3).
