Therun TR04 Motorized Treadmill
Operating Instructions Manual
Important Safety Instructions
WARNING - Read all instructions before using this treadmill. Regular maintenance is crucial for its longevity and to prevent voiding the warranty.
Danger - To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect the treadmill from the electrical outlet before cleaning or servicing.
- DO NOT USE AN EXTENSION CORD or modify the grounded plug.
- Install the treadmill on a flat, level surface with access to a correct voltage and frequency grounded outlet.
- Do not operate on deeply padded, plush, or shag carpet, as this may damage the carpet and treadmill.
- Ensure a minimum of 1 meter clearance behind the treadmill and any fixed object.
- Place the unit on a solid, level surface.
- Never allow children on or near the treadmill.
- When running, fasten the plastic safety clip to your clothing for safety in case of falls.
- Keep hands away from all moving parts.
- Never operate the treadmill with a damaged cord or plug.
- Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
- Do not operate where aerosol spray products are used or oxygen is administered, as sparks can ignite flammable environments.
- Never drop or insert objects into any openings.
- The treadmill is intended for in-home use only and is not suitable for prolonged running.
- To disconnect, turn all controls to off, remove the safety key, and then unplug from the outlet.
- Pulse sensors are not medical devices; they are for exercise aid and may be affected by movement.
- Use provided handrails for safety.
- Wear proper shoes; avoid high heels, dress shoes, sandals, or bare feet. Athletic shoes are recommended.
- Allowed temperature: 5 to 40 degrees Celsius.
Remove the safety key after use to prevent unauthorized operation.
Important Electrical Information
- NEVER use a ground fault circuit interrupt (GFCI) wall outlet. Route the power cord away from moving parts.
- NEVER operate the treadmill on a generator or UPS power supply.
- NEVER remove any cover without first disconnecting AC power.
- NEVER expose the treadmill to rain or moisture; it is not designed for outdoor use, near pools, or in high humidity environments.
Important Operation Instructions
- Insert the power plug directly into the socket.
- The constant running time should be less than 2 hours. Read the entire manual before operating.
- Changes in speed and incline are gradual. Set desired speed on the console and release the adjustment key.
- Exercise caution when multitasking (e.g., watching TV, reading) as distractions can lead to loss of balance or injury.
- To prevent injury, never mount or dismount the treadmill while the belt is moving. Start at a low speed and stand on the belt during slow acceleration once familiar with operation.
- Always hold the handrail when making control changes.
- The safety key stops the walking belt immediately and shuts off the treadmill. Inserting the safety key resets the display.
- Do not use excessive pressure on console control keys.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, unless supervised by a responsible person. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- Consult a doctor before running if you have conditions like cardiopathy, hypertension, diabetes, respiratory disease, or are a smoker. Also consult if over 35 with common weight issues, or if pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Stop exercising and consult a doctor if you feel giddy, nauseous, experience chest pain, or other symptoms.
- Drink adequate water after exercising for more than 20 minutes.

Grounding Methods
This product must be grounded to provide a path of least resistance for electric current, reducing the risk of electric shock. It is equipped with an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be inserted into an appropriately installed and grounded outlet in accordance with local codes and ordinances.
DANGER – Improper connection of the grounding conductor can result in electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure about grounding. Do not modify the provided plug; if it does not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician. Use only with outlets matching the plug's configuration.

Exercise Instructions
- Warm Up Phase: Helps blood circulation and muscle readiness, reducing risk of injury. Hold stretches for 30 seconds without forcing.
- Exercise Phase: Build strength and maintain a steady tempo. Heart rate should be in the target zone shown on the graph. This phase should last a minimum of 12 minutes (typically 15-20 minutes).
- Cool Down Phase: Allows cardio-vascular system and muscles to wind down. Repeat warm-up exercises for approximately 5 minutes. Stretching exercises should be repeated.
For muscle toning, use higher resistance, which may reduce training duration. For fitness improvement, maintain normal pace during warm-up/cool-down and increase resistance during the exercise phase, possibly reducing speed to stay in the target heart rate zone. Effort and duration determine calorie burn and fitness improvement.

Maintenance & Care
General cleaning prolongs the treadmill's life and performance. Dust components regularly. Clean both sides of the running belt. Keep running shoes clean to prevent wear on the running board and belt. Clean the belt surface with a damp cloth.
For optimal maintenance, power off the machine for 10 minutes every 2 hours of use and fully power off when not in use.
Running Belt Tension: A loose belt causes sliding; a tight belt reduces motor performance and increases friction. Optimal belt tightness allows pulling the belt 50-75mm from the running board.
Centering the Running Belt:
- Place the treadmill on level ground and set speed to 3.5 mph.
- If the belt drifts right: Power off, turn the right adjusting bolt 1/4 turn clockwise. Power on and run for a few minutes. Repeat until centered. (Refer to Figure A)
- If the belt drifts left: Power off, turn the left adjusting bolt 1/4 turn clockwise. Power on and run for a few minutes. Repeat until centered. (Refer to Figure B)
- Tightening: Over time, the belt may loosen. Power off, turn both left and right adjusting bolts 1/2 turn clockwise. Power on and check tension. Repeat until correct tension is achieved, ensuring equal adjustment on both sides for alignment. (Refer to Figure C)
- Loosening: If the belt is too tight, turn both adjusting bolts 1/2 turn counter-clockwise. Check tension and repeat until correct, ensuring equal adjustment.

Lubricating the Treadmill
IMPORTANT NOTE: Lubricate the treadmill before first use.
Running Belts & Treadmill Lubricant: Lubricating the running board and belt is essential for friction management, affecting lifespan and function. Inspect regularly.
WARNING: Always unplug the treadmill before cleaning, lubricating, or repairing.
How to Lubricate:
- Raise one side of the belt, wipe dust from the running deck with a rag, then apply lubricant. Repeat for the other side.
- After applying lubricant, run the machine at a low speed to distribute it evenly.
- Regular maintenance prolongs lifespan.
Lubrication Time Table:
- Light user (less than 3 hours/week): Every six months
- Medium user (3-5 hours/week): Every three months
- Heavy user (more than 5 hours/week): Every two months
WARNING: The machine has a lubrication reminder. After 300km total distance, the screen will display "DI DI DI" for lubrication. Add oil to the middle of the running board, then close the window. After adding lubricant, press and hold STOP for 3 seconds in standby to clear the reminder.
