SR-TUN14HX Stinger HORIZON10® Radio Replacement Kit
for 2014-2021 Toyota Tundra
Introduction and Features
The SR-TUN14HX is a complete radio replacement kit for the installation of the Stinger HORIZON10® modular radio in Toyota Tundra vehicles. All necessary modules, cables, and adapters are included to retain important features of the factory system. These features include: steering wheel-mounted radio controls, factory amplifier, factory reverse camera, factory USB port, and AM/FM reception. The kit utilizes Plug & Play wiring harnesses for quick and easy installation without the need to cut or splice any wiring. The display mounting panel allows for the mounting of the 10-inch display without modifying or cutting any part of the vehicle's sub-dash.
Important Notes
It is recommended to read this manual thoroughly to familiarize yourself with the entire installation process prior to beginning.
- Adjustment of vehicle settings through the original radio's vehicle settings menu will be disabled after installation of the new radio. Ensure all settings are as desired before removing the original radio.
- The RP4.2-TY11 interface does not retain Rear Seat Entertainment.
- To retain SiriusXM Radio functionality, a SXV300 Tuner is required and sold separately.
- If no audio is heard after installation, cycling the ignition may be necessary to initialize the factory amplifier.
- Speaker fading on factory amplified systems is only supported with the "amplified output" connection of the RP4.2-TY11.
- When using real-time fade, if the fader setting is biased towards the front or rear, the sound may initially play at the default setting and then quickly transition to your custom setting as the radio turns on.
- Radio features such as High Pass Filters (crossovers) can interfere with proper fader function. For the RP4.2-TY11's fader function to work correctly, the audio from the radio's output must match, allowing it to compare front and rear audio levels and determine the proper fader setting for the factory amplifier.
- If the truck is equipped with a factory 360° camera system, changing camera views via the touch screen will no longer be available. Camera views can only be changed using the steering wheel controls.

Wiring Overview
Installation Manual
This installation manual covers the necessary procedures to complete the installation efficiently and avoid redoing steps. The order of procedures is as follows: Disassembly, In-Vehicle Harness Connections, Interface and Main Harness Connections, Side Bracket Assembly, Main Frame Assembly, In-Vehicle Connections, and Radio Unit Installation. The steps shown are required for full radio functionality. Additional components like cameras, amplifiers, or satellite radio may require extra steps and harnesses.
Section 1: Disassembly
Before removing the factory radio, ensure all vehicle settings programmed via the factory radio are set to the desired configuration.
Section 2: In-Vehicle Harness Connections
Section 3: Interface and Main Harness Connections
Section 4: Side Bracket Assembly
Section 5: Screen Preparation / Main Frame
Section 6: In-Vehicle Connections and Radio Unit Installation
Note: If an External Microphone is installed, the setting must be changed from Internal (Default) to External in the Phone Settings: Main Menu > Phone > Settings.
Testing and Verification
- Turn on the radio and check volume, balance, and fade. If no audio is heard, cycle the ignition to initialize the factory amplifier. If audio is still absent, reset the interface according to the procedure in the next section.
- For JBL systems, if the overall volume is too low, use the gain adjustment on the side of the RP4.2 interface to set the desired level. The recommended method is to turn the radio volume to 3/4, then adjust the RP4.2 gain until slight distortion is heard, and then back it down slightly.
- Verify that all Steering Wheel Controls (SWC) are functioning properly. If any SWC are not functioning, resetting the interface may be necessary.
- Verify that AM/FM Reception, Bluetooth, USB, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Camera(s) are functioning correctly.
Restoring Factory Settings
The RP4.2-TY11 interface can be restored to factory default settings by pressing and holding the programming button on the side of the module until the status LED starts blinking red. Release the button once the LED begins blinking red. The LED will go through two stages (blinking green, then amber) before starting to blink red. This reset will restore the following settings to their factory defaults:
- SWC Mapping
- Factory Amplifier Settings
- Real Time Fade will be reset to ON
RadioPRO App
Use of the RadioPRO App allows for the following:
- Configure User Interface Options:
- Factory amplifier settings (Bass, Mid, Treble, Gain, Fader, and Balance)
- Real Time Fading
- Update Product Firmware
- Read Firmware/Hardware Versions
Please Note: The interface must be connected to the vehicle when using the following features of the Radio PRO App: Factory Amplifier Settings. The interface does not need to be connected to the vehicle when using the following features: Firmware Updates, Reading firmware/hardware versions.
