What is vCTS.performance?

The vCTS.performance is a scalable system designed to execute tests of charging communication in combination with the CANoe Test Packages EV and EVSE. Its high charging power capability also allows for load tests and endurance tests to be carried out. This system is a joint development by EA Elektro-Automatik and Vector. The device under test can be either an electric vehicle (EV) or an electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE). CANoe serves as the associated test automation software.

Application Areas

Fully automated conformance and interoperability tests are conducted on EVs or EVSEs at their full rated power. These tests are based on the CANoe Test Package EV and EVSE, adhering to the specifications of the CCS, MCS, NACS, GB/T, and CHAdeMO charging standards.

System Configuration

The vCTS.performance system is comprised of a Master Rack and optional Extension Racks. The Master Rack contains the core components, such as power supplies or a cooling unit, and a changeable connection unit that can accommodate either a cable or an inlet. Extension Racks can be added to increase the system's capacity, allowing for a total DC charging power of up to 3.84 MW.
