Product Overview

The Xiaomi Smart Camera C300 is a home security camera designed for monitoring your living space. It features a high-resolution lens, night vision capabilities, and integration with the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app.

Key Components:

• Indicator: A status light indicating connectivity and operational status.
• Lens: The primary optical component for capturing video.
• Microphone: For capturing audio.
• MicroSD Card Slot: Located behind the lens when tilted upwards, used for local video storage.
• Loudspeaker: For audio output, such as two-way talk.
• Micro-USB Power Port: Connect the charging cable here to power the device.
• Reset Button: A recessed button used to restore the camera to factory settings.

Views:

• Front View: Displays the lens, indicator light, and microphone.
• Rear View: Features the loudspeaker, Micro-USB power port, and reset button.

Installation

The Xiaomi Smart Camera C300 can be placed on horizontal surfaces or mounted on a wall.

Placement on Horizontal Surfaces:

You can place the camera on desks, dining tables, coffee tables, or any stable flat surface.

Wall Mounting:

1. Marking: Use a pencil to mark the positions for the mounting holes on the wall. The recommended hole diameter is approximately 6 mm, and the depth is approximately 30 mm.
2. Drilling & Anchors: Drill the holes and insert plastic wall plugs into each.
3. Securing the Base: Align the mounting base with the holes, ensuring the arrow on the base points forward. Insert screws and tighten them into the wall plugs using a Phillips head screwdriver.
4. Attaching the Camera: Align the grooves on the bottom of the camera with the raised part on the mounting base. Turn the camera clockwise until it locks securely into place.

Note: The wall must be capable of supporting at least three times the total weight of the camera. Ensure the camera is securely fixed to prevent injury.

How to Use

Installing a MicroSD Card:

• Ensure the camera is powered off.
• Gently push the lens upward to reveal the MicroSD card slot.
• Insert the MicroSD card with its contact points facing downward.
• Note: Disconnect the camera from power before installing or removing the card. Use a genuine MicroSD card from a qualified supplier. Maximum supported capacity is 256 GB. A U1/Class 10 speed rating is recommended.

Turning on the Camera:

Plug the charging cable into the Micro-USB power port on the back of the camera. The camera will automatically turn on, and the indicator light will blink orange rapidly.

Indicator Status:

• Blue: Connected successfully / Working properly.
• Blinking blue: Network error.
• Quickly blinking orange: Waiting for connection.
• Slowly blinking orange: Updating firmware.

Connect with Mi Home/Xiaomi Home App

This product works with the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app. To use its features, you must download and install the app.

Setup Steps:

1. Scan the QR code provided in the manual or search for "Mi Home/Xiaomi Home" in your app store to download and install the app.
2. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
3. Open the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app.
4. Tap the '+' icon in the upper right corner.
5. Follow the on-screen prompts to add your Xiaomi Smart Camera C300.

The indicator light will blink orange rapidly while waiting for connection and turn solid blue once successfully connected.

Note: The app may be referred to as "Xiaomi Home" in Europe (except Russia). The app version may be updated; follow the current app's instructions.

Restoring Factory Settings:

If you change your network or Xiaomi Account, you may need to restore factory settings. Press and hold the reset button for approximately 3 seconds. The indicator will blink orange rapidly once settings are restored. You can then reconnect the camera.

Note: Restoring factory settings does not delete data on the MicroSD card.

Key Features

Real-time Surveillance: View live video feeds, adjust image sharpness, control horizontal and vertical angles, capture photos, record videos, and make calls directly from the app.

Infrared Night Vision: The camera automatically switches to night vision mode in low-light conditions, using built-in infrared lights to capture clear video even in complete darkness.

Playback: Access recorded footage via the app. This feature requires a compatible MicroSD card or a purchased cloud storage service. Drag the timeline in the app to select specific playback periods. Variable speed playback is supported.

Home Surveillance Assistant: When enabled, the camera records video upon detecting human movement or changes within its surveilled area and sends push notifications to your app. (Human detection requires cloud storage activation). You can configure 24-hour monitoring, custom time periods, alert sensitivity, and more.

Video Sharing: Share camera access with family members or friends through the app's sharing options. Users you share with must also have the app and a Xiaomi Account.

Precautions

• Operating Temperature: Use the camera within a temperature range of -10°C to 40°C.
• Environment: Avoid high humidity and prevent water from entering the device.
• Lens Placement: Do not point the lens directly at reflective surfaces like glass windows or white walls, as this can cause image overexposure or white-out.
• Wi-Fi Signal: Install the camera in an area with a strong Wi-Fi signal. Keep it away from objects that may interfere with the signal, such as metal objects or microwave ovens.
• Safety Distance: Maintain a separation distance of at least 20 cm between the antenna and the user's body during normal operation.

WEEE Information

This symbol indicates that the product is Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and should not be mixed with general household waste. Please return it to a designated collection point for recycling to protect human health and the environment.
