Getting started
Step one: Download the app for free
Download the XRAI Glass® app for free on either your Android or iOS device. Once downloaded, sign in using your social login and complete the short onboarding.
Note: XRAI Glass requires Android 11+ or iOS 13.7+
You'll need to turn your Bluetooth ? on when first connecting the glasses to your mobile device.
You might need to charge your glasses before turning them on for the first time. ?

Step two: Update your glasses
To ensure you have the best experience right from day one, we recommend updating your glasses as soon as they arrive. This ensures you have the latest features, improved performance, and enhanced security.
How to update
- Go to https://link.xrai.glass/ar-one on a device you can connect your glasses to. This will typically be a desktop computer using a USB to USB-C cable.
- Connect your glasses with the online updater tool.
- Scroll down the options on your right until you reach the 'Update Firmware' section. You can also manually adjust brightness and time zone settings here.
- Once connected, click 'Update Now' to ensure you have the latest software version.

Getting started
Step three: Get your pairing code
After updating, restart your glasses and wait for the XRAI Glass® app to open automatically. Once open, you should see a unique 6-digit code displayed in front of your eyes. If not, you can access this screen by pressing the function button ⚙️ 3 times in a row.

Step four: Pair your devices
Head back to your mobile device and click the pairing button ➕ in the top right corner of your screen. Next, select the Leion Hey glasses from the 'Nearby devices' menu. Ensure your Bluetooth ? is turned on to discover nearby devices.
Finally, enter your WiFi details and pairing code to connect the glasses to your device. Your pairing code can be found in your glasses from the previous step. Once connected, you can use your mobile device to control the settings of the XRAI Glass® app.
Note: After device pairing is completed, you can turn off your Bluetooth.
Using your glasses on the go? Simply disconnect from WiFi, ensure you're connected to your 4G/5G network, then set up a hotspot on your iOS or Android device. Use your hotspot details to pair your devices.

* Pausing subtitles will not stop the app. Make sure to stop your subtitles to put your glasses into sleep mode.
Prescriptions
How to fit custom lenses
Your glasses come complete with a pair of blank clip-on lenses that can be customized to your prescription. Send the clip-on lenses to your optician or optical specialist to have them tailored to you.
Installation
- Remove the cover plate located on the inside of your glasses, just above the nose pads.
- Align your prescription lens insert with the opening slot, with the clip facing away from you. Push in until you hear a click.
To remove, grab either side of the lenses and pull backwards until they detach.
Not sure where to go? We've partnered with Lensology, who provide custom lens inserts for augmented reality glasses. Visit their website, select your glasses, input your prescription, and have them shipped globally.

Your account
Sign-in to the XRAI Glass® app
Frustrated with remembering your various logins? Access the XRAI® Glass app using your existing social accounts.
- Upon opening the app for the first time, you'll be prompted to sign in using the 'Sign In' button.
- Next, sign in using one of your existing social accounts. Currently, logins from Apple ?, Google ?, Microsoft ?, LinkedIn ?, and Microsoft 365 accounts are accepted. After signing in, a quick-start tutorial will guide you through the initial setup.
Note: Microsoft 365 accounts are for enterprise users. Consult your IT team for details.

Transcription
Lightning-fast subtitles
Using advanced cloud-enhanced transcription engines, the app transforms spoken words into written text, providing a convenient way to transcribe live audio recordings.
Try it out
- Start a new conversation and click the quick settings menu ⚙️ in the bottom right of your screen.
- For conversations with a single speaker, try enabling 'Noise cancellation' to improve subtitle accuracy.
- By default, the app uses your mobile device as the audio source. If you have a Bluetooth microphone, connect it and change the 'Selected audio source' in the app.
- If using compatible augmented reality glasses, enable 'Minimal interface' to focus more on your conversation.

140+ languages and dialects
Attend events where speakers use different languages or dialects and instantly translate over 140+ languages and dialects in real-time with XRAI Glass®.
Try it out
- Select the language icon ? from the bottom bar.
- Choose the spoken language by clicking the circle next to it. Use the heart ❤️ icon to add languages to your favorites.
- Navigate to the 'To' tab and select the language for your subtitles. By default, it's set to 'No translation'. Click off the language menu to return to your conversation.

AI Assistant
Powered by ChatGPT
Integrated ChatGPT delivers a deeper user experience. Ask XRAI to change speaker names, summarize conversations, or find recipes.
Try it out
- Open settings by clicking the user icon ? in the top right corner of the home screen.
- Scroll down to find and toggle on 'Conversational AI'.
- Input your personal OpenAI GPT key to activate the AI assistant. Obtain your key by visiting openai.com and registering for a free account. Your key will be available in your user settings.

Meet themes
Your subtitles, your way
Customize subtitle spacing for words, letters, lines, margins, and more, either on your phone or in a pair of smart glasses.
Try it out
- Open your quick settings menu ⚙️ and select 'Colors'. Try selecting a new theme color.
- Next, select 'Fonts'. Change your font size (this works on both your mobile device and in a pair of smart glasses).
- Finally, select 'Spacing'. Adjust word, letter, and line spacing, as well as width and margin.
