4.6 Important Information - Bluetooth App Connection
Thank you for choosing the Hafele digital door lock. For optimal functionality, this lock is designed to connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth, with a range of approximately 15-20 meters. For remote access or real-time lock data from anywhere, you will need to purchase the Wi-Fi Multimode Gateway (Product Code: 499.21.220). Please contact Hafele customer service for more information.
4.7 Hafele Smart Living Application
Functions in the Hafele Smart Living Application:
- Unlock via Application: Unlock the door within Bluetooth range using the smartphone app. You can also grant unlocking permissions to family members using the app.
- Manage Unlock Data / Access Rights: Fully manage user data and access rights for family members through the app, including adding or deleting fingerprints, key cards, or passcodes for each user.
- Create Temporary Passcodes: Users can create time-limited passcodes via the app when the lock is in Wi-Fi connection mode (when used with the Wi-Fi Multimode Gateway). Random passcode generation is also available for offline use, allowing temporary access without an internet connection.
- Lock Settings: In the app, users can enable/disable Passage Mode (always unlocked), Double Authentication, and adjust the voice guidance volume.
Caution: Continuous use of app functions or connection to the Wi-Fi Multimode Gateway will reduce battery life faster than normal.

- General User Data: Starts from the second entry (e.g., Finger2, Card2).
4. Adding Unlock Data via App

- You can add/delete and manage all user unlock data for your lock. Select to view data as shown on the right.
5. Creating Temporary Passcodes
- Custom Passcode: Requires the lock to be online at all times. You can set a custom passcode and name it. The lock must be active and connected to the app for the passcode to be transferred to the lock's memory. You can check the transfer status by clicking "Record" in the top right corner of the app.
- Random Passcodes (Time-Limited, One-Time, Dynamic): These can be generated offline. The system automatically assigns numbers. The lock verifies the passcode using an algorithm.
- Clearing Code: Since the random passcodes (item 2) are not stored in the lock's memory, they must be deleted by entering the Clearing Code on the lock itself.
Passcode Type Comparison Table:
Type | Must connect to App | How to activate the Code | How to Delete the Code before it expires |
---|---|---|---|
Custom | Yes | Unnecessary | After the App connects to the door lock, delete it through the App. |
Time-Limited | No | The code Activated after use it at least once within 24 hours of the validity period. | Use the Clearing Code to delete it. |
One-Time | No | It can be used only once within 6 hours after creation. | Invalid after one use. |
Dynamic | No | Unnecessary | Expires automatically unavailable. |
Clearing | No | Use once within 24 hours after creation. | Invalid after one use. |
