Ensure your projector box includes the following parts:

Connecting Your Equipment

External Speakers

Connect external self-powered speakers via the Audio Out port using a 3.5 mm stereo mini to RCA cable. Note: The projector's internal speaker is disabled when external speakers are connected.

Connecting the Projector

Video Device

Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the projector's HDMI port and the other end to an HDMI port on your video device. Multiple video devices can be connected; use the Source Search button on the projector or remote to switch.

Computer

Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the projector's HDMI port and the other end to an HDMI port on your computer. For more connection details (camera, USB flash drive), refer to the online User's Guide.

Connecting Audio

The projector's built-in speaker plays audio from sources connected via HDMI. For composite video connections (Home Cinema 1080), connect an RCA audio cable from the projector's audio input ports to your video device's audio output ports.

Turning On Your Equipment

  1. Turn on your computer or video source.
  2. Plug in the projector. The [power light] turns blue.
  3. Open the A/V Mute slide completely.
  4. Press the [power button] on the projector or remote. The projector beeps, the [Status light] flashes blue, then stays solid.
  5. To shut down, press the [power button] twice.

Use the arrow buttons on the remote to navigate the Home screen for switching sources and accessing adjustments.

The default menu language is English. To change it: Press the [Menu button] on the projector or remote, select Extended, then Language, choose your language, and press [Menu button] to exit.

Adjusting the Image

  1. If no image appears, press the [Source Search button] to select the correct source. If the screen remains blank, check troubleshooting tips.
  2. To raise the image, press the foot release button and lift the projector's front. Release the button to lock.
  3. For Home Cinema 880: Use the [E-Zoom buttons] on the remote to resize the image. For Home Cinema 1080: Turn the zoom ring to resize the image.
  4. To sharpen the image, turn the focus ring.
  5. If the image is trapezoidal (e.g., wider at the top than the bottom), the projector may be angled. Position it directly in front of the screen. If repositioning isn't possible, use the horizontal keystone slider on the projector to correct the shape.
  6. The projector automatically adjusts images that appear distorted. If needed, use the [up arrow button] or [down arrow button] on the projector to fine-tune.
