Assembly Instructions (fig.1)
The diagram shows the components and their arrangement. Follow these steps for assembly:
- Place the U shape frame (item 4) over the drum and secure it using fixings (items 6, 7, & 8) placed on the inside face.
- Place the feet (item 9) over the drum and secure them using fixings (items 6, 7, & 8) placed on the inside face.
- Screw the handle knob (item 1) to the handle (item 2).
- With the spring (item 3) slid onto the handle, pass the handle shaft through the hole in the frame (item 4).
- Locate the handle shaft into the sleeve on the Separator bar (item 13) and secure using fixings (items 10, 11, & 12).
- Pass the end of the handle shaft through the wire mesh.
Instructions for Use
Follow these guidelines for operating the sieve:
- DO NOT fill the unit more than half full and DO NOT use materials that are too wet.
- When sifting soil / compost, place the unit either over a wheelbarrow or the area where the sifted output is to be deposited.
- Rotate the handle and thus the separator bar, until all particles have been passed through the sieve.
- When weeding, place the weed clumps into the unit and rotate the separator bar back and forth to separate weeds from soil.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures longevity and performance:
- Remove excess soil from the unit when finished and wipe it down with a damp cloth.
- Store in a clean, dry area.
