Assembly and Preparation
Before first use, ensure the lawnmower is fully assembled:
- Assemble the handle bars using the provided screws, washers, and nuts.
- Attach the grass catcher and any optional accessories like the mulching insert or side discharge adapter.
- Check and add engine oil to the recommended level using the oil dipstick (12). Use SAE 30 / 10W-30 / 10W-40 oil.
- Fill the fuel tank with fresh, unleaded petrol (max. 10% bioethanol). Do not overfill.
- Ensure the spark plug is correctly connected.
- If using the electric start function, ensure the battery (20) is charged and properly inserted into the starter unit (18).
Operation
Starting the Engine:
- Ensure the engine brake lever (3) is engaged.
- Pull the starter cord (17) or activate the electric starter (17a).
- Once the engine is running, engage the drive by pushing the drive lever (2) towards the handle (1).
Cutting the Grass:
- Adjust the cutting height using the adjustment lever (14) to your desired setting (25-75 mm).
- Mow in straight lines, overlapping each pass slightly for an even cut.
- For mulching, insert the mulching insert (19) and close the discharge chute cover (15).
- For grass collection, attach the grass catcher (16) and ensure the discharge chute cover (15) is open.
- For side discharge, attach the side discharge adapter (8) and open the discharge chute cover (15).
Stopping the Engine:
- Release the drive lever (2) and the engine brake lever (3). The engine will stop automatically.
- For safety, pull the spark plug connector after stopping the engine.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your lawnmower:
- Cleaning: Clean the lawnmower after each use, especially the underside of the deck and the blade area. Use water and a brush. Ensure the engine remains dry.
- Air Filter: Check and clean the air filter (7) regularly. A dirty filter reduces engine performance.
- Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug (10) periodically. Ensure the gap is set correctly (0.75 mm).
- Blade: Check the blade for damage and sharpness. Sharpen or replace as needed. Ensure the blade is balanced.
- Oil: Check the engine oil level before each use and change the oil annually or as recommended.
- Fuel System: Use fresh, unleaded petrol. Store fuel in approved containers in a cool, well-ventilated area.
