Description
The PixxRangeExtender 5V is an optimal tool to bridge longer distances by using digital LED-Stripes. It is designed to connect in front of the signal input of the digital LED-Stripe. The PixxRangeExtender 5V can be used with digital LED-Stripes that have separated DATA- and CLOCK-Signals, as well as with digital LED-Stripes that use only a single DATA-Signal line.

Connection
Connection between Controller and digital LED-Stripe (CLOCK + DATA)
This setup involves connecting a controller to a digital LED-Stripe using the PixxRangeExtender 5V. The controller provides power, data, and clock signals. The PixxRangeExtender 5V receives these signals and passes them to the LED-Stripe. The PixxRangeExtender 5V has connection points for 5V, DO (Data Out), CO (Clock Out), and GND. The digital LED-Stripe receives power (5V) and the data/clock signals.
Connection between two digital LED-Stripes (CLOCK + DATA)
In this configuration, one digital LED-Stripe is connected to another digital LED-Stripe via the PixxRangeExtender 5V. The first LED-Stripe acts as a signal source, and the PixxRangeExtender 5V relays the CLOCK and DATA signals to the second LED-Stripe. Both stripes are powered by a 5V supply. The PixxRangeExtender 5V has connection points for 5V, DO, CO, and GND.
⚠️ Only digital LED strips with 5V operation voltage of the same type may be used. Mixing different types is not allowed.
Connection between Controller and digital LED-Stripe (DATA)
This setup connects a controller to a digital LED-Stripe using only the DATA signal, with the PixxRangeExtender 5V facilitating the connection. The controller provides power and data. The PixxRangeExtender 5V receives the data signal and passes it to the LED-Stripe. The PixxRangeExtender 5V has connection points for 5V, DI (Data In), CO (Clock Out - though not used for data-only), and GND. The LED-Stripe is powered by 5V and receives the data signal. A maximum distance of 5 cm is indicated between the PixxRangeExtender 5V and the LED-Stripe.
Connection between two digital LED-Stripes (DATA)
This configuration connects one digital LED-Stripe to another using only the DATA signal via the PixxRangeExtender 5V. The first LED-Stripe acts as the data source, and the PixxRangeExtender 5V relays the DATA signal to the second LED-Stripe. Both stripes are powered by a 5V supply. The PixxRangeExtender 5V has connection points for 5V, DI, CO, and GND. A maximum distance of 5 cm is indicated between the PixxRangeExtender 5V and the LED-Stripe.
⚠️ Only digital LED strips with 5V operation voltage of the same type may be used. Mixing different types is not allowed.

CE-Conformity
This assembly (board) is controlled by a microprocessor and operates at high frequencies. To maintain the module's properties regarding CE conformity, installation into a closed metal housing in accordance with the EMC directive 2014/30/EU is necessary.

♻️ Electronical and electronic products must not be disposed of in domestic waste. Dispose of the product at the end of its service life in accordance with applicable legal regulations. Information on this can be obtained from your local waste disposal company.

Failure risk:
The device can drop out partially or completely at any time without warning. To reduce the probability of failure, a redundant system structure is necessary.
Initiation risk:
For the installation of the board, it must be connected and adjusted to foreign components according to the device paperwork. This work can only be done by qualified personnel who have read and understood the full device paperwork.
Operating risk:
Changes or operation under special conditions of the installed systems/components, as well as hidden defects, could cause breakdowns during operation.
Misusage risk:
Any nonstandard use could cause incalculable risks and is not allowed.
