VC-B50U Firmware Update Manual

1 Device and Tool Preparation

1.1 Please prepare following devices and tools before FW upgrade.

• VC-B50U: The Lumens VC-B50U PTZ camera.

• PC or Laptop: A computer for accessing the camera's web interface.

• Power adapter and power cord: To supply power to the VC-B50U.

• Ethernet cable: For connecting the camera to the network.

2 Connections

2.1 Connecting via switch or router.

The VC-B50U camera is connected to the network via an Ethernet cable to a switch or router, which then connects to a PC or Laptop.

3 FW Download

3.1 Open browser and enter the IP address of the camera in the address bar. You can check the IP address from [Status]> [Ethernet] in the menu.

3.2 Enter the account and password to log in webpage.

Account: admin

Password: 9999 (Default)

3.3 Select [Maintenance]> [...] to select firmware file and press [Upgrade] and [Yes].

Navigate to the Maintenance section, then select the Update option. Choose the firmware file and initiate the upgrade process.

3.4 FW download starts, please don't close the page. (Around 2-3 minutes taken)

A confirmation prompt will appear before the firmware download begins.

During the update process, ensure the camera remains powered on.

After the update, the system will restart. Wait for the system to initialize before refreshing the web page.

3.5 Login webpage again and check the FW version from [About]> [Firmware Version].

After the firmware update and system restart, log back into the camera's web interface to verify the new firmware version.
