Hardware Installation
Follow these steps to install M.2 devices, memory modules, and VESA mounts.
Important Safety Note: For safety reasons, please ensure that the power cord is disconnected before opening the case.
A. M.2 Device and Memory Module Installation
- Unscrew the four screws of the back cover and remove it.
- Locate the M.2 key slots on the motherboard. Install the M.2 device into the M.2 slot and secure it with the provided screw.
- For M.2 2280 M-key and M.2 2230 E-key installation: When installing both simultaneously, use the "M.2 shared nut" to lock the M.2 2230 E-key card on its socket first, then install the M.2 2280 M-key card using an M2*3 screw.
- For M.2 2230 E-key slot with WiFi card: Connect the two antenna cables to the WiFi card (grey cable to 'Aux' and black cable to 'Main'). Affix them with the provided wifi mylar as shown in the diagrams.
- SSD Heatsink Kit: The kit includes thermal pads (70x20x3mm for single-sided SSDs, 70x20x1.5mm for double-sided SSDs). Paste the thermal pad onto the M.2 SSD to effectively reduce its temperature.
- Locate the SO-DIMM slots on the motherboard.
Note: This motherboard supports 1.1V DDR5 SO-DIMM memory modules only.
- Align the notch of the memory module with the one of the relevant memory slot.
- Gently insert the module into the slot at a 45-degree angle.
- Carefully push down the memory module until it snaps into the locking mechanism.
- Repeat the above steps to install an additional memory module, if required.
- Replace and affix the case cover with the four screws.
