Installation and Configuration
This document describes where to find detailed software installation and configuration information for the Agilent 490 Micro GC Natural Gas Analyzer. See the section(s) below as appropriate for the available software.
Agilent OpenLAB CDS EZChrom Edition or ChemStation Edition
For installation and configuration information, see the Agilent OpenLAB Chromatography Data System (CDS) Workstation Installation Guide (CDS_WS-Installation Guide.pdf). Find this document on the OpenLAB CDS DVD in folder \Disk1\Docs. Available in several languages.
Agilent EZChrom Elite
For installation and configuration information, see the EZChrom Elite Installation Guide.
EZReporter
EZReporter is an optional software package for calculating the calorific value of natural gas samples (heating value calculation). Installation of EZReporter will be done by an Agilent Customer Engineer.

To establish the connection between EZReporter and the Agilent data system, two steps are important:

Calibration. For creating a calibration method or performing calibration runs, find detailed instructions in either:
- EZChrom Elite online help and tutorial
- OpenLAB CDS online help and tutorial

Exporting Raw Data. Configure the Agilent data system (EZChrom Elite or OpenLAB CDS, either edition) to export raw data as described in:
- EZReporter Quick Start Guide—EZChrom Edition
- EZReporter Quick Start Guide—ChemStation Edition
