Part Designations
The Leica LUX GRIP is designed for intuitive control and enhanced handling. The following diagram illustrates its key components:
- 1. Shutter button: Press briefly for focusing and shutter release ?. Press and hold for over 3 seconds to automatically connect to the known iPhone.
- 2. FN buttons: Press briefly to access the assigned function. Press and hold for over 3 seconds to change the button assignment. Press both FN buttons simultaneously and hold for over 5 seconds to initiate pairing mode; the status LED will slowly flash blue.
- 3. Knob: Press to switch between functions. Turn to change the current function's settings.
- 4. MagSafe contact: For magnetic attachment.
- 5. Tripod thread: Standard 1/4 DIN 4503 (1/4") thread for mounting on tripods.
- 6. USB-C port: Used for charging the internal, replaceable battery.*
- 7. Status LED: Indicates operational status:
- Red (flashing): Battery capacity low (< 15%).
- Green (illuminates approx. 5 s): Pairing successful, ready for use.
- Green (illuminates continuously): Battery fully charged.
- Green/red (flashes): Active battery charging process ⚡.
- Blue (flashes): Active pairing process ?.
- Blue (illuminates approx. 3 s): Pairing complete ✅.
*iPhone models with a USB-C port can charge the Leica LUX Grip using a USB-C cable.
Safety Information
General Information
- Only use accessories specified for this model to prevent faults, short circuits, or electric shock.
- Do not attempt to remove parts of the housing (covers) yourself. Repairs must be performed by authorized service centers only.
- Protect the Leica LUX GRIP from contact with insect sprays and other aggressive chemicals. Petroleum spirit, thinner, and alcohol must not be used for cleaning. Some chemicals and liquids can damage the Leica LUX GRIP housing or its surface finish.
Battery
- Ensure the power socket is freely accessible at all times.
- Do not open the battery. Repairs must only be carried out by authorized service centers.
- Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Batteries can cause suffocation if swallowed.

Leica Camera AG Warranty Terms
Congratulations on your new Leica product. Leica Camera AG ("LEICA") offers voluntary warranty services in accordance with the following provisions ("Leica Warranty"). This warranty does not limit your legal consumer rights.
The Leica Warranty
Leica products are manufactured to specific quality guidelines and tested rigorously. This warranty applies to the Leica LUX Grip and its accessories, valid as of April 1, 2023. It does not cover commercial use.
Scope of the Leica Warranty
During the warranty period, manufacturing and material defects will be rectified free of charge by Leica at its discretion (repair, replacement of parts, or exchange for a similar product). Replaced parts or products become Leica property. Further claims are excluded.
Excluded from the Leica Warranty
The warranty does not cover wear parts, batteries (unless defective from manufacturing), or mechanically stressed parts, including surface damage.
Voidance of Claims Under the Leica Warranty
Warranty claims are void if defects are due to improper handling, use of third-party accessories, improper opening or repair, or if the serial number is illegible.
Assertion of the Leica Warranty
To make a warranty claim, submit a copy of the proof of purchase (including date, item number, serial number, and dealer information). Leica reserves the right to request the original receipt.
