How to Use RS485 Software

I. Connect RS485 sensors to Computer with RS485/USB interface

Ensure your RS485 sensors are connected to your computer using the appropriate RS485/USB interface adapter.

II. Install “Driver” in user computer.

Install the necessary driver software for the RS485 interface on your computer. This is crucial for the system to recognize the connected sensors.

III. Operation Steps on RS485 software

  1. Click to open the RS485 configuration software.

  2. Click the “高级设置” (Advanced Settings) button, typically located at the top right of the page, and change the software language to English.

  3. Right-click on your computer's desktop or Start menu to open the “Device Manager”. In the Device Manager, locate and select the correct serial port (e.g., “COM #”) associated with your RS485 interface.

  4. In the “485 Sensor Configuration Tool V3.0” interface:

    • Enter the identified COM port number (e.g., "COM1") into the "Port" field (labeled 'A' in diagrams).
    • Click the "Refresh" button (labeled 'B' in diagrams) to detect the connected device.
    • Click the "Set" button (labeled 'C' in diagrams) to apply the COM port settings.

    The software allows you to configure communication parameters such as baud rate and device address. You can manually set the baud rate or modify the device address. Options are also available to automatically acquire the baud rate and address.
