2. Installation
Unpacking and Preparation
Unscrew the 2 top screws (A), remove the cover by sliding it horizontally, and remove the cardboard protection.
Unscrew the 2 tie braces (B) on the crosspiece (using an H. 19 spanner) and remove the polystyrene spacers (C) underneath.
Lean the machine forward and remove the plastic bags containing the 2 polystyrene blocks at the sides by pulling downwards.
Replace the cover with the 2 screws (A), ensuring the locating pins are correctly inserted into their slots on the cabinet side.
Place the corrugated plastic sheet, found on top of the appliance during unpacking, into the base of the appliance.
⚠ WARNING: Transport Components
Do not refit the 2 tie braces (B). Do not remove the spacers (D) above the crosspiece. Keep packaging materials away from children.
Hydraulic Connections
Connect the water hose to the water supply tap using only the hose supplied with the appliance (do not reuse old hose-sets).
AQUASTOP (if included)
This device on the supply tube stops water flow if the tube deteriorates. A red mark will appear in window (A), indicating the tube needs replacement. To unscrew the nut, press the one-way lock device (B).
Positioning
Position the washing machine near the wall, ensuring the water fill hose is not kinked or trapped. The corrugated drain hose should be inserted into a drain pipe 50-85 cm above the floor, or routed above the sink overfill opening to prevent back siphoning.
Level the appliance using the adjustable feet: turn the nut clockwise to release the screw, rotate the foot to raise or lower it until it touches the floor, then lock the foot by screwing the nut tightly against the washing machine's bottom.
Plug in the appliance.
⚠ WARNING: Installation Faults
Contact the Customer Service Centre if the power cord needs replacement. Installation faults are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
3. Detergent Drawer
The detergent drawer is split into two compartments:
Compartment "1": for washing detergent.
Compartment "2": for special additives, softeners, starch fragrances, etc.
⚠ WARNING: Detergent Use
Only introduce liquid products into compartment "2". The washing machine automatically doses additives during the last rinse. Some detergents are supplied with their own dispenser to be placed directly in the drum, not the drawer.
4. Practical Hints
Load Tips
When sorting laundry, ensure:
Metallic objects (hair clips, pins, coins) are removed.
Pillow cases are buttoned, zips closed, loose belts and robe ribbons tied.
Rollers, hooks, or clips are removed from curtains.
Clothing washing labels are carefully read.
Persistent stains are pre-treated with specific detergents.
For rugs, bedcovers, or heavy clothing, avoid the spinning cycle to prevent damage.
For wool, ensure the item is machine washable by checking the fabric label.
Leave the appliance door slightly open between washes to prevent bad smells.
Useful Advice for Saving
To save money and protect the environment:
Load the machine to its maximum capacity as indicated in the program table to save energy and water.
Noise and residual moisture are affected by spin speed: faster spin means more noise but less residual moisture.
The most efficient programs for combined water and energy consumption are usually longer-lasting ones at lower temperatures.
Maximise the Load Size
Achieve the best energy, water, and detergent use by filling the washing machine to its recommended maximum load size. Washing a full load can save up to 50% energy compared to two half loads.
Do you need to pre-wash?
Only for heavily soiled laundry! For slightly to normally soiled laundry, skipping prewash can save 5% to 15% energy.
Is a hot wash required?
Pretreat stains with stain remover or soak dried-in stains in water before washing to reduce the need for a hot wash program. Save energy by using a low-temperature wash program.
Before using a drying program (Washer-Dryers)
Save energy and time by selecting a high spin speed to reduce water content in laundry before drying.
Dosing the Detergent
Use only detergents suitable for machine washing. Select detergent based on fabric type, color, soiling level, and programmed wash temperature. Follow manufacturer's instructions for correct dosing to avoid waste and reduce environmental impact.
Excessive detergent leads to excessive foam, which can hinder the wash cycle and affect wash/rinse quality. Ecological detergents without phosphates may cause cloudier rinse water (due to suspended zeolites, no negative effect on rinse efficiency), white powder on laundry (normal, not absorbed by fabric), or foam in the last rinse (not necessarily poor rinsing). Abundant foam is often due to anionic surfactants; re-rinsing won't help. Consider a maintenance wash with a proprietary cleaner. If problems persist, contact an Authorized Customer Service Centre.
Detergent Recommendations by Temperature:
60°C and above (heavily soiled whites): Normal powder detergent with bleaching agents.
40°C to 60°C: Choose based on fabric, color, and soiling. Normal powder for heavily soiled whites/resistant colors; liquid or color-protecting powder for colored fabrics with light soiling.
Below 40°C: Liquid detergents or specific low-temperature powders.
Wool or Silk: Use only specific detergents formulated for these fabrics.
5. Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper appliance care extends its lifespan.
Cleaning the Appliance's Exterior
Disconnect the machine from the power supply.
Clean the external cabinet with a damp cloth, avoiding abrasives, alcohol, and diluents.
Drawer Cleaning
Regularly clean the detergent drawer to prevent residue accumulation.
Remove the drawer gently but firmly.
Clean the drawer under running water and reinsert it.
Cleaning the Pump Filter
The appliance has a special filter to trap larger residues (buttons, coins) that could block the draining system. It is recommended to check and clean the filter 5 or 6 times a year.
Disconnect the machine from the power supply.
Ensure all water has been emptied from the drum.
Before unscrewing the filter, place an absorbent towel underneath to keep the floor dry. A small amount of water will come out.
Turn the filter counter-clockwise to its limit stop (vertical position).
Remove and clean the filter; replace it by turning clockwise until locked (handle horizontal). Apply a small amount of liquid soap to the filter seal for easier refitting.
Suggestions for Moves or Prolonged Disuse
If the appliance is kept in a non-heated room for long periods, all water residues must be completely removed from the pipes.
Disconnect the machine from the power supply socket.
Detach the drain tube from its clip on the rear, lower it, and fully drain water into a bowl.
Secure the drain tube with its clip on the rear when finished.
Keep the door glass and gasket clean.

Delay the wash cycle start by up to 24 hours. Press the DELAY START button to activate (h00 appears), then press again to set 1-hour increments (h01, etc.). Confirm with START/PAUSE. Cancel by turning program selector to OFF.
Spin Speed
Reduce maximum spin speed or cancel spin. Cannot increase speed beyond program maximum. Can modify spin speed without pausing the machine.
Excessive detergent can cause excessive foaming, potentially excluding spin or extending program duration and water consumption. The machine has an electronic device to prevent spin with unbalanced loads, reducing noise/vibration and prolonging lifespan.
AQUAPLUS
This option (available on some programs) uses more water and optimized drum rotations for thorough cleaning and rinsing, ensuring complete detergent dissolution. Ideal for sensitive skin, children's items, or heavily soiled laundry requiring more detergent, or towels that retain detergent.
COLD WASH
Transforms any program into a cold wash, without changing other characteristics (water level, times, rhythms). Suitable for non-colorfast garments, delicate synthetics, curtains, small carpets, and bedspreads.

8. Troubleshooting and Warranty
If the washing machine is not functioning correctly, consult this guide for common problems.
Error Code Format
Models with display: Error shown as "E" followed by a number (e.g., E2).
Models without display: Error shown by a sequence of LED flashes corresponding to the error code, followed by a 5-second pause (e.g., Error 2 = 2 flashes - pause 5 seconds - 2 flashes).
Common Errors and Solutions:
E2 (Machine cannot load water): Check water supply tap, hose kinks, drain pipe height, and "anti-sand" filter for clogs.
E3 (Machine does not drain water): Check filter for clogs, drain hose kinks, and home drainage system. Try draining water in the sink.
E4 (Too much foam/water): Ensure correct detergent amount and type for washing machine.
E7 (Door problem): Ensure door is correctly closed and no clothes obstruct it. If locked, unplug for 2-3 minutes and retry.
Any other code: Turn off, unplug for 1 minute, restart, and run a program. If error persists, contact an Authorized Customer Service Centre.
Other Anomalies and Solutions:
Machine not working/starting: Check power supply, plug, door closure, program selection, and ensure not in pause/delay mode.
Water leaked on floor: Check seal between tap and supply hose (replace/tighten if needed), and ensure front filter is correctly closed.
Drum not spinning: May be due to unbalanced load (machine tries to balance, reduces speed, or aborts spin). Untangle and reload. Water may not have drained (check E3). Check if "no spin" function or other options are activated. Excessive detergent can impede spin.
Strong vibrations/noises during spin: Level the machine using feet. Ensure transport screws, rubber bungs, and spacer tubes were removed. Check for foreign objects in the drum.
