Installation Clearances

Electrical Outlet Locations
Receptacle Locations: A locally approved flexible service cord or conduit must be used because terminals are not accessible after range installation. The drawing indicates the location of the electrical outlet box. Recommended outlet locations allow the range to be installed directly against the wall.
Diagram Description: The diagram illustrates electrical outlet placement. The outlet box should be positioned within a shaded area, approximately 4 3/4 inches or 1/4 inch from the rear wall. Side clearances for the outlet box are shown as 8 inches and 4 inches from the side wall. The overall width for installation is 24 inches, with a minimum height clearance of 30 inches from the floor. A 0-inch minimum clearance is specified for cabinets located below the cooktop. The diagram also shows the appliance height as 36" +/- 1/2".
