Product Introduction

This section describes the components of the WHDPETS Automatic Pet Feeder:

  • Main Unit: The primary device housing the electronics and food dispensing mechanism.
  • Top Cover: Covers the food bucket.
  • Food Bucket: Holds the dry pet food.
  • Food Bucket Lock: Secures the food bucket to the main unit.
  • LCD Display and Touch Button: Interface for settings and status.
  • Stainless Steel Inner Bowl: Removable bowl for food.
  • Plastic Food Bowl: Base bowl that holds the stainless steel inner bowl.
  • Outlet: Where food is dispensed.
  • Speaker: For audio feedback or voice recording playback.
  • Non-slip Mat: Located on the base to prevent sliding.
  • Power Supply Interface: Port for the DC power adapter.
  • Battery Case: Compartment for backup batteries (D cell).
  • Silicone Rotor Blade: Part of the dispensing mechanism inside the food bucket.
  • Desiccant Box: Holds desiccant to keep food fresh.

Assemble Guidelines

Powering the Device

The device supports dual power supply. It can be powered by:

  • A power adapter (insert plug into the power adapter jack on the base).
  • Three D cell batteries (backup).
  • Both adapter and batteries simultaneously.

Installation Steps

  1. Place the main unit on a horizontal surface and attach the plastic food bowl.
  2. Place the stainless steel inner bowl inside the plastic food bowl.
  3. Ensure the food bucket is installed correctly and lock the bucket lock.
    • Scenario 1 (Bucket with food): Place the bucket on the main unit in the correct orientation. Press the lock button to unlock, then long-press the manual feeding button for 3 seconds. The screen will show "----". The main unit will automatically engage the bucket installation auxiliary function. Keep the bucket oriented correctly by hand until it is accurately installed.
    • Scenario 2 (Bucket without food, or installation failure): Repeat Scenario 1, or ensure the bucket is in the correct position and manually turn the silicone rotor blade to help seat the bucket.
  4. If the food bucket is empty, fill it with dry pet food. Ensure food diameter is between 5-15mm.
  5. Place desiccant into the desiccant box. After filling the bucket with food, cover the top cover to complete the installation.

Operating Panel Introduction

The control panel features several buttons and indicators:

  • Lock Button: Hold for 3 seconds to unlock other buttons and screens. [lock-unlock-button]
  • Increase Button (+): In setting state, increases value. In manual feeding state, increases the number of feeding portions. ➕
  • Decrease Button (-): In setting state, decreases value. In manual feeding state, decreases the number of feeding portions. ➖
  • Recording Button: Hold for 3 seconds to start recording (max 6 seconds). Release after hearing two beeps to save. Short press to play recording. [record-button]
  • Manual Feeding Button: In unlocking state, short press to dispense one portion of food (approx. 7-10g per portion). [feed-button]
  • Setting Button: In setting state, confirms and proceeds to the next step. Long press for 3 seconds to exit settings. In time setting state, press to enter setting state. [settings-button]
  • Fault Indicator Icon: Red light flashing (Food stuck), Blue light flashing (Food jam), White light flashing (Food shortage), Red light flashing (Food run out). ❗
  • Lock Icon: Lights up when the unit is locked. ?
  • Time Display: Shows current time, feeding times, portions, and device version.
  • Clock Icon: Indicates time setting mode. ⏰
  • Recording Icon: Lights up when recording. [mic-icon]
  • Battery Power Icon: Blank (No battery), Red light (Low battery), White light (High level). ?
  • Feeding Schedule Icons: Blinking (Real-time setting), Light up (Feeding schedule set).

Setting Introduction

Before entering settings, long-press the lock button [lock-unlock-button] for three seconds to unlock other buttons.

Setting 1: Key Tone ON/OFF

Press the setting button [settings-button] to enter setting state. Use the increase/decrease buttons (➕/➖) to select ON or OFF for key tones. Long-press the setting button [settings-button] for 3 seconds to save and exit.

Setting 2: Real-time Setting

Press the setting button [settings-button] to enter setting state. Use the increase/decrease buttons (➕/➖) to select the clock icon ⏰ to blink. Press the setting button [settings-button] to enter hour and minute setting. Adjust the numbers using ➕/➖. Long-press the setting button [settings-button] for 3 seconds to save and exit. Note: This device uses a 12-hour clock system (AM/PM). 12 AM is midnight, 12 PM is noon.

Setting 3: Feeding Schedule Setting

  • Meal Number Setting: Set up to 6 meals per day. Select meal number (1-6) and press [settings-button] to confirm and enter time setting.
  • Feeding Time Setting: Set the hour and minute for each meal. Use ➕/➖ to adjust digits. AM/PM switches automatically. Press [settings-button] to proceed to portion setting.
  • Feeding Portion Setting: Set the number of portions per meal (P-01 to P-50). Each portion is approximately 7-10g. Use ➕/➖ to adjust. Press [settings-button] to proceed to recording playback setting.
  • Recording Playback Setting: Set how many times the recorded voice plays during feeding (0-5 times). Use ➕/➖ to select. Short press [settings-button] to move to the next meal setting. Long-press [settings-button] for 3 seconds to save and exit.

In any state, long-press the setting button [settings-button] for 3 seconds to exit settings and return to the real-time clock display.

Setting 4: Recording Setting

  • Voice Recording/Modification: Under unlock state, long-press the recording button [record-button] for 3 seconds. When you hear a beep and the recording icon [mic-icon] lights up, start recording. Release the button after two beeps to save. Maximum recording duration is 6 seconds.
  • Play Recording: Short press the recording button [record-button] once to play the recording.
  • Restore Factory Setting: Press the lock button [lock-unlock-button] and the increase button ➕ simultaneously for 5 seconds. This clears the feeding schedule, resets time, enables keytone by default, and clears recordings.
  • Clear Schedule: Press the increase button ➕ and the decrease button ➖ simultaneously for 5 seconds. This clears the schedule time, feeding portions, and recording playback times.

Setting 5: Manual Feeding Setting

Unlock the device using the lock button [lock-unlock-button]. Short press the manual feeding button [feed-button] to dispense food. Use the increase button ➕ to add portions or the decrease button ➖ to reduce portions. The manual feeding portion range is 1 to 5.

Cleaning Instruction

  • Washable Parts: Marked with [washable-icon] (e.g., stainless steel inner bowl, plastic food bowl).
  • Unwashable Parts: Marked with [not-washable-icon] (e.g., main unit).
  • Do not wash the main unit; wipe it with a soft cloth only.
  • Clean the stainless steel inner bowl daily for pet health.
  • When changing pet food, remove and clean the food bucket and plastic food bowl.
  • To remove: Remove the plastic food bowl from the main unit (Figure 1). Unlock the bucket lock and lift the food bucket (Figure 2).
  • Clean and dry the bucket and stainless steel inner bowl thoroughly before reinstallation.

  • While the device operates on low voltage, pets biting wires can still cause electricity leakage. Ensure proper wire guidance. ⚡
  • Keep the device horizontal and do not knock it over, as it may malfunction. ⚠️
  • If you need to leave your pet for an extended period, ensure the batteries in the battery case have sufficient power. This product is only suitable for alkaline batteries. ?
