3. Features
- High capacity lithium batteries provide long backup for connected devices.
- High compatibility, suitable for most digital products.
- Dual input methods: DC (fast) input with adapter and USB (slow) input are supported. Do not use both inputs simultaneously.
- USB output functions as a standard power bank for smartphones, Bluetooth speakers, iPads, PSPs, etc.
- DC output is suitable for routers, modems, IP cameras, fax machines, printers, fingerprint recorders, security cameras, etc.
- Safe to use with intelligent circuit design featuring over-charging, over-discharging, over-temperature, and short-circuit protection.
4. How to Use
4.1 Input
The mini UPS offers two input methods. Please do not use both inputs at the same time.
USB Mode (Slower Charging)
In this mode, the mini UPS functions as a normal power bank. It can be charged using a 5V/2A or 5V/3A adapter with a micro USB cable connected to port (6). Charging speed is slower; it is advised NOT to connect load devices while charging via USB.
DC Mode (Faster Charging)
The mini UPS can also be charged using the provided 12V/3A DC adapter connected to port (5). In this mode, load devices can be connected while the UPS is charging. Do not exceed the total loading capacity of 30W, as this may activate auto-protection.
During charging, the power indicator lights (7-10) show the battery capacity (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%). When power is disconnected, the status light (12) turns red, indicating discharge. The power indicator lights will turn off sequentially. When the 25% indicator flashes, the battery is very low. The UPS will shut down automatically when the battery is depleted and will restart when power is restored.
4.2 Output
Before connecting devices, verify their required voltage and current to ensure compatibility with the output ports.
- Port (1): 5V USB - Provides 5V/2A USB output.
- Port (2): 5V DC - Provides 5V/2A DC output.
- Port (3): 9V DC - Provides 9V/2A DC output.
- Port (4): 12V DC - Provides 12V/2A DC output.
The output interfaces automatically detect the current required by the loading device and provide the appropriate current. For example, Port (4) supports 12V voltage at any current below 2A (e.g., 0.5A, 1A, 1.5A, 2A).
4.3 Overloading
The maximum output power of this mini UPS is 30W. If the total power consumption of connected devices exceeds 30W, the overloading self-protection will activate (see Section 5).
Power Calculation: Power (P) = Voltage (U) × Current (I)
- 5V/2A USB output: 5V × 2A = 10W
- 5V/2A DC output: 5V × 2A = 10W
- 9V/2A DC output: 9V × 2A = 18W
- 12V/2A DC output: 12V × 2A = 24W
For example, you can use a 5V/2A DC output and a 9V/2A DC output simultaneously as their combined power consumption is 28W (less than 30W). However, if a 12V/2A device is connected, no additional devices can be connected to this mini UPS.
4.4 Long-term Storage
If the device is not used for an extended period, ensure it is fully charged and stored in a cool place. It is recommended to charge the battery once a month for emergency readiness.
5. Self-Protection
If all LED lights flash simultaneously and there is no power output, it typically indicates that the self-protection feature has been activated. This can occur in the following situations:
- Adverse weather conditions, such as thunderstorms.
- Incorrect operation, such as connecting to the wrong interface or device.
- Over-discharge or overcharge of the battery.
- Short circuit or damage to the connected loading device.
- Overloading, exceeding the maximum loading capacity.
- Over-temperature.
To resolve this, disconnect the mini UPS from all connected devices immediately. After a short period, reconnect the original charger to reactivate the mini UPS.
Important Warning
- Please ensure the voltage and current requirements of your loading devices are compatible with this mini UPS before connecting. Incorrect connections may damage the devices and the UPS.
- Dropping, hitting, disassembling, or attempting private repairs are forbidden.
- Do not expose the mini UPS to water or moisture.
- Do not dispose of the mini UPS in fire or expose it to high heat.
- Do not use the mini UPS in flammable environments, such as under direct sunlight or near a stove.
- Do not use this mini UPS in a car.
- Keep the mini UPS out of reach of children.
