The Yealink AX86R package includes the following items:

TIP: Yealink recommends using provided or approved accessories. Unapproved third-party accessories may reduce performance.

Assemble AX86R

Step 1: Insert the battery into the handset.

The handset is assembled by inserting the battery and then closing the battery cover.

Step 2: Attach the belt clip to the handset.

Choose the appropriate mounting method based on your belt clip:

Method 1:

The belt clip attaches to the back of the handset, allowing it to be clipped onto a belt.

Method 2:

This method involves a separate clip that attaches to the handset, which then clips onto a belt.

Step 3: (Optional) Mount the charging cradle to the wall.

The charging cradle can be mounted to a wall using screws, with a recommended spacing of 39.5mm.

Charging

Option 1: Connect the charging cradle and charge the handset.

Place the handset into the charging cradle, which is connected to a power source via the power adapter.

Option 2: Connect the type-C cable to the charging port on the bottom of the AX86R.

Plug the other end of the type-C cable into a power source. A type-C cable is required but not included.

Hardware Introduction

Item Description
Receiver Receive audio in receiver mode.
LED Indicator Indicate call status, message status, and charging status.
Proximity Sensor The proximity sensor can detect the human ear.
Phone Screen Show information.
3.5 mm Headset Jack Connect a standard 3.5 mm headset.
Soft Keys Access the function directly. It depends on the operating situation.
Message Key Access the voice mail or missed call.
Speakerphone Key
  • Switch among the receiver, headset, and hands-free modes.
  • Answer an incoming call.
  • Place a call in hands-free mode.
Navigation Keys Scroll through information or options on the screen.
OK Key Confirm actions or enter the main menu.
On-hook Key/Power Key
  • Press briefly to return to the previous screen.
  • Long press to return to the idle screen.
  • Press to turn the handset on.
  • Long press on the idle screen to turn the handset off.
  • Cancel actions or ends a call.
  • Reject an incoming call.
Off-hook Key
  • Answer an incoming call.
  • Enter the redial calls list.
  • Place a call in receiver or headset mode.
Keypad Provide digits, letters, and special characters.
TRAN Key Transfer a call to another party.
Mute Key Toggle the mute feature on or off.
Microphone Pick up audio.
Type-C Support Type-C charging.
Alarm Key Press to report the alarm.
Volume+/- Key Press to adjust the volume.
PTT Key Press to use the PTT feature.

Power LED Indicator

Off Power off/normal status
Solid red Initialization/charging (not fully charged)
Solid green Battery fully charged
Fast flashing red Incoming call
Slow flashing red New voicemail/missed call/text message

Connect to Wi-Fi

  1. On the startup wizard, select your language and press OK or Next.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Option A: Quick Wi-Fi Connect
      a. Use your mobile phone to connect to the temporary access point created by the AX Series.
      b. On the Wi-Fi Configuration page, enter the Wi-Fi SSID and password for the network you wish to connect to. (If the page doesn't open automatically, open your web browser and enter 192.168.144.1 in the address bar.)
    • Option B: Available Networks
      a. Select the Wi-Fi network from the available options and press OK.
      b. Enter the password and press Save.
